This is always something I've been a little confused on. I think I know the correct rulings but I'm just going to make sure.

Let's say a 2/2 creature (Creature A) with first strike attacks and a 2/2 creature (Creature B) with regenerate blocks it.

Creature B dies, but does he deal any damage to Creature A?

When a creature is regenerated three things happen:

1) Remove all damage from the creature
2) Tap the creature
3) The creature is removed from combat.

Because of the third point the first striker will take no damage.
