Would take out one wrath for an additional kagemaro. Able to be veangeanced, and because of that is more versatile than wrath.

Considering Frank Karsten's first game in the Top 8 at worlds took 90 minutes... I'd say it's not very viable online where everything is slower.

That's because he was in the top 8 at Worlds. There is a world (lol) of difference between that and the tournaments you see here, or even at most T2 rl tounaments. And although I haven't seen the video, I assume some of that time from his opponent.

I think it's a good deck, I just hate having to make decisions.

I have played with a similar version of this deck at six tournaments, and I won all but 1. It is very good!!! I think it was a fluke that it lost to Glare in the finals of Worlds because I have won that matchup over and over. I admit that Hokori and Seedborn mess you up a little, but the those games are often winnable.

Pre-Board this deck will rail anything...post-board this deck will rail almost anything. Against decks with Cranial Extraction, I just sideout Yosei and turn into a normal gifts deck. Other than that the need for sideboarding with this deck is minimal.

One card that you should be aware of is Ivory Mask. This card wrecks your face!!! I turns off Yosei AND Gifts Ungiven!!! However, it is not Game Over. I have won matchs against Ivory Mask with just Kokusho and Goryo's Vengance (plus Greater Good).

This deck is rock solid and really has no bad matchups.

That is my two cents.

well if you run needles then bring them in. bring in mask, scour is terrible....if you want enchantment distruction then sb in tempest of light or something like that. but pithing needle and ivory mask are your best choices for sb material.

hmmm... i assume you guys are all just using karsten's list... which btw is godly.
i started with that list in testing, and found an awkward problem for the deck:
blood moon
in the decks current position, a turn 3 blood moon will set it back so far that boros will smash face before we can recover. And dont tell me its not played, look at recent boros SBs from trials.
my 'solution' if you can call it that is to mess with the land base to include more basics. not only will it solve this problem but also decrease the heavy cost of the deck as well. the legendary lands, while usefull at times, can be a hazard if they also run them. i would also cut all the 'shock lands' to 1 of's, searchable with farseek if must.

uh, the SB seems kinda week to me, since everyone tests against karsten's exact list, tweaking at least the board will create situations more favorable for you. At the very least 4 defense grid+4 sacred ground are a must. if you have ever played against wildfire gifts, or against domain... you know why the sacred grounds are so good. the rest of the list can be messed with depending if you are in aggro heavy or control heavy or combo heavy environment.

obviously not... since i know that i for one WILL be using mortify... at least 2, coupled with SB wear away, and probly SB more mortifies.

I play this deck in real with this sb:

sb: 4 sacred ground, 3 shadow of doubt, 1 tempest of light, 1 cleanfall, 1 ink eyes, 1 meloku, 1 hana kami, 1 death denied, 1 souless revival, 1 wear away.

Md: changes are -1 last gasp +1 cranial (if i needa kill something I gifts for kage/wog/reclaim/recollect or wog/putrefy/reclaim/recollect)

I played thsi deck at a tourny yesterday and this is what happend

First round Adrian Sullivan Wildfires 1-2

Second Round Enduring ideal (worlds build) 2-1

Third Round against heartbeat (not blazing heartbeat) i 2-0 from sheer luck, game 1 cranial early harvest, then reclaim and cranial mage. Game 2 in response to his wierd harvest for 5 i shadow of doubt, he muddles, and i shadow again. I proceed to lock him.

Semifinals against u/r tron. i cranial keiga game 1 and recollect, cranial meloku and lock him. Game 2 is a long struggle for power. I end up on top for game because he can only blaze for 17 and i'm at 18. 2-0

Finals Jank White Weenie. Wow finally a good match. Game 1 I get unlucky and he runs me over. Game 2 I proceed to kick his ass. And Game 3 Wrath of god then Meloku is GG. 2-1

I don't know if it was sheer dumb luck that i won, or that this deck has potential of beating many decks that consider this deck a bye for them due to good sideboarding. But i do know that this deck has alot of potential.

can't...stop...laughing...

-life from the loam > sacred ground (u can gift for it and dredge)
-shadow of doubt never has proven usefull
-cleanfall/tempest of light. You should kick Ideal's ass even without it

my guess is, yes.
