I think I have a really good build here, and I hope it's better than most that are out there...

For the same reasons that Jund is good, this is good...
And card for card, this runs better threats, and has better sideboard options... so...

So far, in my testing I've seen it wreck pretty much everything. I've tested it mostly against Jund, RG elves, and any of the eldrazi token decks. It is really consistent.

I'd like to run it in one of these tournament or have someone else run it. I'm not sure how to actually play a tourney on this site.

Regardless, I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions. I've been trying to fine tune it, and I'd like to see what you all think.
Very Happy

really depends on the game state

with cascade, you get the choice to play it or not.

If you cascade into it from, say Enlisted Wurm, all the creatures will die first, and then the wurm will come into play.

yeah there was a deck like this that top8 a grand prix before wrath cycled out.

its more controllish then aggro. you play enlisted into DoJ and wipe the board then drop the 5/5

This looks like a really strong 4-color build, Enlisted into either Baneslayer or DoJ is pretty devastating, and it has all the best discard/removal at its disposal.

well... You added white to the usual Jund deck...

We now have the white spells that we missed on Jund sometimes... That's nice...
In the other hand, we have one more color on deck, what makes it a litle bit less functional then Jund...

Till now, it works just fine on the tests... a litle bit harder to get all mana-color you need then Jund, but i think that the new white spells justifies it...

Nice work.. I like it Wink

{edited}: The cascade from Enlisted Wurm to Baneslayer... WOW
and Enlisted Wurm to DOJ, well.. who don't like to have all the batlefield clean from creatures, and a 5/5 entering the game?? eheh
No doubt that cascade are a very strong side of this deck... works really grate!

Hi!
After a few matchups, I think the mana is a bit slow/strange... :/ I bet you can make it better.

Other than that, fine deck, fun =)

needs some way to deal with spreading seas and goblin ruinblaster. Right now those two things could ruin your day. Especially with rupture spires. If one of those gets spreading seased you are WAY behind your opponent. for that matter, just getting your rupture spire bounced could be devastating.

you should test against control, I agree that slow decks like jund will have a hard time consistantly beating this, but control decks will love to kill your mana and counter your cascade.

You may atleast want to sideboard duress.

Not really better than Jund. More like..Jund with white. And occasionally, I'll wager that standard Jund gets some fast hands up on your list. But overall, I'd say it's a better Jund deck.

I'm sorry but I don't remember to have lost against that deck in "normal" conditions (no mana/color screw, mull to 4 or less, etc) and I was running a vampires!!! the original Jund kicked my ass though. I wonder what that say about this version?

Every time I play Jund I think to myself, "what this deck really needs is a worse mana base and more random draws. I really need a deck where Goblin Ruin Blaster or Spreading Seas completely shut me out of the game. That would be excellent deck tech."

Yep.

Every deck has hate for it... saying, "Goblin Ruinblaster and Spreading Seas exist as hate" doesn't mean it isn't viable.

Depending on the meta, I could change the mana base up a bit, or perhaps add duress to the sideboard... but it weakens the efficiency and might not be necessary...

This deck has a high land count (27) and it rarely gets mana skrewed. It's land base is made to ensure that by turn 3 it can usually cast something, and by turn 4 it can definitely play something that is usually powerful....it doesn't need to do anything turn 1 and 2... turn 3 is a maybe... and it explodes turns 4, 5, 6, and has the best topdecks that can be offered.

Changing my ruptured spire to an island, I can still cast cascade spells easily, and everything else a turn later. A deck playing spreading seas will be a slow deck anyways, and most likely won't be as strong. By the time they get into a good position to win, this deck should be in a better position. This deck will stabilize before a Sphinx of the Steel Wind hits the board. And It also can deal with it if does stick...

And Ruinblaster is usually sideboard for Jund or RG elves or maindeck for some other deck that isn't very good. It just isn't that threating, especially with the 27 lands.

Honestly, the deck I find the worst matchup agaisnt is Mono-White Control. If they sideboard correctly... and go exiling all of my threats, it hurts a lot. If they stick a Iona and name white, I'm looking for Pulse as my only possible way to get rid of her, and the spells I can cast just don't usually cut it against a 7/7 flier.

That said, I can't fully dismiss the hate against this deck.
If you post a link to a deck that you'd use that runs either Goblin Ruinblaster or Spreading Seas (or both??), I'll playtest it. I haven't tried against R/G Valkut land explosion yet, so I may try that.

Yes, the land cards must be improved.... Its a weak point on this deck, and anyone can see that just by looking at it...

In other hand, it has really good cards that you usually missed on Jund...

Better then Jund? Hard to say of corse... Cause its hard to be better then Jund!! Razz But i think that it goes on the right way...
And SJM is right, those 2 cards can easily beat you with the deck like it is now...

But one thing I'm sure... Against vampires? I dont need improvements to beat any mono-B vampire deck... And with just a few changes on sideboard, Vampire's decks dont even get a chance!

and it is really nice to say " I can beat this deck if I have this card, or that card"...

If you knows your opponent deck before you play against it... well, that's really easy to beat... Anydeck, anytime!

Against any usual deck, it does just fine till now... If you have Goblin RuinBlaster on the deck, and if you can cast it on the right time to screw my mana so you can win the game, and if you can have it both games... (note all the "IF") Well, GG to you! You played just fine!

But most of times... you will not have a chance to play it, that's for sure Wink

Once again, better then Jund? Its really hard to be that GOOD...
