Hello I just built this new deck and I would like to get feedback on what things to correct/change/improve
Without further here's the list:
Lands - 24
6 Plains
2 Swamp
1 Mountain
4 Dragonskull Summit
4 Marsh Flats
4 Terramorphic Expanse
3 Akoum Refuge
Creatures - 12
4 baneslayer angel
4 Emeria angel
3 Vampire Nighthawk
1 Ob Nixilis, the Fallen
Spells - 24
3 Path to Exile
3 Terminate
4 Day of Judgement
4 Blightning
4 Sign in Blood
2 Identity Crisis
1 Ajani Vengeant
1 Elspeth, Knight-Errant
2 Thought Hemorrhage
ok the non-BOLD cards are basicly easily changeable and in noway essential and just fill slots where as I've not been able to think about anything more useful. Any ideas about what to replace them with would be welcome =)
Sideboard
3 Luminarch Ascension
4 Celestial Purge
4 Duress
1 Though Hemorrhage
3 Pyroclasm[/b]
The idea is to slowplay out of the opening with some creature control, then go for cardadvantage/handcontrol with blightning and sign in blood, hopefully get to play an Identity Crisis then drop a baneslayer. Nighthawk can block and kill most attacking creatures while emeria angel produces blockers that cant kill any attacking creatures, and it's nice to have potential lifegain too if the slow opening costs lots of life. Or I dunno those were my thoughts.
The manabase seems a bit weird with Terramorphic Expanses, but B/R with W that is not friendly to either R or B is hard to make when the splashable color of the deck is R instead of that W. There's plenty of WW & BB in the manacosts and so that's why.. I did try first with Marsh Flats + Arid mesa, but it didnt work very well. Now there's some tapped lands but usually the required mana to play with. If you can make it better that'd be nice too =) |

| i ran the silence cuz it reminded me of orim's chant back in the day...it gives me a slight advantage over aggro decks cuz it keeps those bolts and hasty goblins at bay for a few turns while i build up a mana base...it may get dropped later but for now it plays alright |

| Would take Thought Hemorrage out of the main deck. I think it's better in SB after you've seen what their deck is like. |

Yeah it's better in sideboard I put it in the maindeck coz I love to play it in g1 and think about the best choice, and there's many matchups where it's actually handy.. Anyway you're right it's not a good choice in maindeck, I just keep it there for personal preference. =)
Any suggestions how to edit the maindeck? |
