SB: 3 [ZEN] Into the Roil

Has a really good match vs jund since the only thing you have to really worry about is pulses and blightning, post board you get your hemorages and duresses.

Vs vamps the pyroclasms are key. UWR control you can race them and put in the into the roil and hemorages to deal with their walkers.

Boros you have a decent match up preboard, post board you add in into the roil and pyroclam, then if it turns out they are not running manabarbs you can side out the into the roils g3 if it comes to that.

This mana base is amazing, in the 20+ games I've played I've always been able to cast cruel off my 7th land drop.

I tryed it with time warp, but all it seemd to do was draw me an extra card and give me a land drop, I want more out of my 5 mana spell then a rampant growth with a cantrip.

I actually replaced the warps with B blast because instead of getting me some random card it got me something usefull, since even if I hit a termanate with only 1 creature out, I can play the terminate and have the blast be counterd putting another instant in my grave for asension

What I would love to do in a perfect world (read as its not going to happen) is find some way to splash green letting me add in pulse so I can deal with any perm they happen to drop

Consider testing Chandra Ablaze there. It works well alongside Pyromancer Ascension (discard Burst Lightning, play Burst Lightning for kicker cost, trigger Ascension, 8 damage to the face ftw!). Her second ability is probably only useful against control, but her ultimate ability should offer you no problem in winning the game right away. Mr. Green

I don't see how you win Jund game 1.

Pulse meets Pyromancer.
Thrinax is a problem.

You instantly die against Telemin performance, but who plays that?

I like this deck a lot, but I havent had much luck with creature-less decks myself. Ill try it out. I certainly think its possible.

SB:

-1 Duress
-1 Thought Hemorrhage
-1 Into the Roil

+3 Swerve (helps against Mind Sludge and opponent's Thought Hemorrhage).

If Telemin Performance see's alot of play, -3 Swerve, +3 Negate.

Another alternative is Quest for Ancients Secret.

A lot of control decks run 1 Telemin Performance in their sb for playing against other control decks.

Pulse isnt needed to win

Thinax is 4 (usally 3) cards out of 60, and worst case senario, I can race it
