Mind Shatter is bad with ancient zigurat. Also sedraxis is better because a single removal spell is not enough (unless it's path or celestial purge). If they spend a lightning bolt on it it still works as a blightning because it attacks for 3 and makes them discard 1 meaning they spend 2 cards and took 3 dmg from it, juts like blightning.

Ancient Zigurrat is bad with unearth, Blightning, Maelstrom Pulse, Lightning Bolt and Terminate as well. Run the B/G fetchland instead. Refuge is worse than Dragonskull Summit.

Barring double or triple zigurrat, unearth, bolt and terminate should be fine. Pulse and Blightning might suffer and testing is needed to see if zigurrat should be taken out or reduced. However Mindshatter you want to play for as much as you have ususally so having zigurrat hurts it. You already have so much discard that mind shatter doesn't seem necessary. Pack too much discard and you'll just keep discarding their hand and eventually they topdeck something good and win the game.

After some testing with Verdant Catacombs over Ancient Ziggurat, the biggest problem is casting Sedraxis Specter. Only 4 sources of blue is pretty bad. I got lucky in a Jund Mirror where the guy blightninged me into dropping two into the grave.

Any ideas on what to do for more U?

Jou canīt play a 4-color Jund, because if this would work, people would actually play it already.

The deck was probably found at the Daily MTG Building on a budget section of Magic: The Gatherings website. This deck probably changed the Burst Lightnings for Maelstrom Pulses, but the manabase is pretty much the same.

Remember that the deck in the site is a BUDGET deck, so its meant for you to modify it as you see fit with cards that are a bit more expensive, unless you like playing with budget decks exclusively.

That said, Im definitely trying this deck out. It looks like it can beat jund (Jund heavy Metagame in Puerto RIco), and sedraxis specter's unearth is especially good against non-exile removal. Madrush Cyclops makes the specters hasty, which is a very sexy thing to do. I dont know if id change the Burst Lightnings to pulses, cuz Burst can hit them on the dome. it definitely depends on your meta.

Well, what you need to do is to rethink the cards you put in the deck according to what kind of colour fixing you got.

Right now, playing GRBU designed so that you need all four colours ready by turn 4, you will simply not have a stable manabase.

You will have to choose two colours, fixing the two others and then make sure that those are mid-to-late-game cards, or to drop Sedraxis Specter entirely. It is surely nice, but is it worth screwing up the mana of the other 32 cards?

On the other hand, look at your curve. You got 4 cards you would want to play turn 2. The rest are turn 3 or later. This opens up for Rupture Spire.

4 Rupture Spire
4 Crumbling Necropolis
4 Verdant Catacombs
3 Scalding Tarn
1 Misty Rainforest
3 Swamp
2 Mountain
1 Island
2 Forest

Tell me if this manabase-shell works out for you.

Is it possible that i ran into your or someone playing your list on MWS today?

Specter Jund Win Win
2-0
+4 Celestial Purge +2 Swerve
-3 Maelstrom Pulse -2 Negate -1 Day of Judgement

Thats with the 5color control (it actually has all 5 colors, unlike all the cruel control decks last season calling themselves 5cc) John Treviranus posted...

if you really feel like porting the 9th place ala block deck from the PT, atleast keep the 4 noble hierarch in it, it was only reason it was good in first place cause you could get turn 2 specter, it was also only reason you play zigg so you could drop turn 1 noble. Bird's actually might be a reasonable alternative cause it adds B/R.

So you splash blue solely for sedraxis? Is mulling because of that scenario worth it? Or would it be easier just run more hippes (other discard spell/dude)
