This was actually a deck I've been thinking about (well, not this deck precisely, but something based on the same idea).
As for how it beats Jund... well, Jund cannot get rid of River Boa, can't block either of the Coatls without a dragon (which he can counter or beat with Vines of Vastwood or hell, even Gigantiform), and if Scute Mob sticks around for more than a turn, its pretty difficult to get rid of as well (especially with so many counterspells/Vines in the deck).
Oh, and 4x Great Sable Stag in the SB.
I'm dubious of the usefulness of Negate, though - a lot of decks are creature-based, and while it can protect your dudes (particularly scute mob), just seems kind of... eh?
Also, why is Garruk in the sideboard?
Obviously not a great deck, but the theory of casting threats while having mana to protect them is okay.
The deck I'd really expect this to have trouble with isn't Jund but Boros Bushwhacker. |
