Feel free to comment AFTER you have playtested this deck.

Pray noone thought hemorages your cobras though >Smile

Meant to play fancy cards well, M-multicolor rares 4tw

The crabs actually win games

so does the Red shrine

The sheer mana of this deck is a working factor in using howling mines, but if you dont have cobra you can still use fetch lands, harrow, greenshrine to stabalize your mana.

As usual I make my decks with synergy, alot of the utility is cheep and the win/fun cards are expensive, but not hard to play.

Fuck Destruct, thats what everyones playin, go against the grain, beat em up with something creative and non-mainstream, and when you do it let that evil-toothy-grin of yours glare right into their eyes and cackle maniacally!

needs some way to deal with fast beats, works well though, the lands are heavy, but I cant use fetch lands without an equal amount of normal ones

Im thinking of thinning it out to 60 like it should be, cant find cobra easy

kaamos, i don't like to sound like a douche often, but everything you post on here is completely hyped up by yourself. And often, it is an untested, unrefined decklist that is clearly a few beats off from a tournament-worthy deck, except you try to make it "your own creation" by adding jankier cards, or the deck is just clearly inferior to another archetype out there. There are already control decks that abuse Lotus Cobra in order to gain access to early fatties (as early as T3) that have legitimate back-up plans to people destroying their Lotus Cobras before they get a chance to use his landfall ability.

With the exception of the odd sideboard choices (and perhaps a few tweaks main) Lame's decklist does what yours is trying to do, but much more efficiently and better tuned to a fast metagame. Check this out and work from there, you'll probably end up with better results. http://www.magic-league.com/deck/54561/standard_t2.html#4c Control63025

That IS a sturdy deck

and I do hype up what I post

I dont expect to ask for advice after playtesting so much as I would probably benefit from people who are more familiar with current deck archetypes because I havent played any T2 on paper with anyone, or in any tournaments at all. (benefit more --before-- playtesting and serious scrutiny of my own)

However, I think sharing ideas like these help create possible new decks that with enough group brainstorming might be able to make it to tournament play, and people who were involved obviously would be the first to know and play these decks, and make benefit to Kahzakstan, or maybe some FNM/Tournament of some variety- on paper.

Lets set aside the non mana-utility cards, this setup can virtually play any color- effectivelly, I just like to build on the landfall as it works so well with cobra- I think you could plug virtually anything into the decklist and the deck could play it.

So help me out here guys! Help yourselfs out Very Happy

Also after playtesting tonite I've been messing around with this list

// Deck file for Magic Workstation (http://www.magicworkstation.com)

// Lands
4 [ZEN] Misty Rainforest
4 [ZEN] Verdant Catacombs
2 [M10] Swamp (1)
2 [M10] Island (1)
4 [M10] Terramorphic Expanse
2 [9E] Plains (1)
2 [CST] Mountain (2)
4 [M10] Forest (1)

// Creatures
4 [ZEN] Lotus Cobra
4 [ZEN] Hedron Crab
4 [ZEN] Oracle of Mul Daya

// Spells
4 [ZEN] Harrow
4 [ZEN] Zektar Shrine Expedition
4 [ZEN] Khalni Heart Expedition
3 [M10] Howling Mine
4 [ZEN] Ior Ruin Expedition
2 [ARB] Maelstrom Pulse
3 [ZEN] Day of Judgment

// Sideboard
SB: 4 [ARB] Meddling Mage
SB: 2 [ARB] Maelstrom Pulse
SB: 1 [ZEN] Day of Judgment
SB: 4 [M10] Duress
SB: 4 [PS] Terminate

Problem is, again I worry too much about synergy so, the only real win condition now is mill/Zektar enchantment. But damn does the deck make landfall look good. I need to fit something more kill-ish in there.

1. You're NEVER going to win with milling. Decks that are 100% mill that play all of your "mill" cards and more don't even win right now.

2. WTFOracle.

3. Your only win con is Zektar which can be owned by... any burn card, pulse, any first striker, terminate, doom blade, path, disfigure, wall of denial, etc.

4. And of course where is teh skewt mawb? Just for you Akeldyma.
