So the cards are in the graveyard...I cast them from there, then where do they go after they have been cast? Exiled? Or back to the graveyard? Because if it goes back to the graveyard after being cast then I can simply take it for another spin free...which would be quite broken, right? Or am I missing something?

You cast all of the spells once when the ability resolves, and then after each spell resolve they all go to the graveyard (well after Chandra's Ability resolves). You only get 1 chance to play all the spells

Chandra Ablaze's ultimate allows you to cast those spells as part of the resolution of that ability, kind of like Windbrisk Heights. This is different from a card like Yawgmoth's Will, which sets a timeframe in which the spells can be played.

So in other words it's like paying 7 loyalty counters to cast a boatload of burn spells, and to replay that boatload of burn spells I would need to conjure up another 7 loyalty counters? Alright, got it, thanks!

Yep, it works exactly like that. You'll be discarding a lot of cards to get to seven counters again, though.

I just thought of something.

Let's say I have activated the ultimate ability of Her Fieryness. So I put Her ability on the stack right? Then let's say I declare that I want to sling Lightning Bolt, Lava Axe, Volcanic Hammer and Shock. Do they go on top of the stack above Her Hotness's ability?

Or is it alright for me to do something like letting the Lightning Bolt resolve first, then before Her Blazing Highness's ability resolves, I play Lava Axe and let it resolve, so on and so forth? Because I want to play around that Zendikar trap card that exiles any number of target spells, for instance.

Well, some of those cards are sorceries. Which mean the stack has to be completely empty in order to do them.

The stack does not have to be empty. The stack will not be empty. The spells are played during the resolution of the activated ability. they are all played at this time, and they all go on the stack. The ability then finishes resolving before any of the spells cast with it will resolve.

I, and maybe we, need clarification. By sling with the ultimate ability on the stack, do you mean cast from your hand?

If you do mean casting them in said manner, then Lightning Bolt and Shock would be legal. However, Volcanic Hammer and Lava Axe are sorceries and thus cannot be played with an ability waiting to be resolved on the stack.

As been pointed out a few times now already: you are playing the cards from the graveyard during the resolution of the ultimate ability of Chandra Ablaze. At this time you couldn't even play instants normally (and why the hell would she say 'sorcery' if you couldn't play them?).

You can play any and all red instant and sorcery cards from your graveyard during the resolution of her ultimate ability in the order of your chosing. They go on top of the stack (and thus on top of her ability) but that will not stop her ability from finishing resolving before any of the spells can resolve (yes, that is a bit weird).

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean by that last phrase. Embarassed

Oh, and actually what I meant is that I use her ability to cast Lightning Bolt et al from the graveyard, not from my hand...

Even though the ability is no longer the top object on the stack (there are a bunch of spells on top of it now), it was already resolving and thus will finish resolving. That is a bit weird, since normally the top object on the stack resolves first.

It's more of an academic sort of weird and only funny to Melvins Smile.

Let me put it the way I understand it and tell me if I'm right.

I announce that I will play her ultimate ability.
Stack = [CA ultimate]

Let's say that nobody Stifles it or what. Now I see that my graveyard contains Lightning Bolt, Lava Axe and Volcanic Hammer. I announce that I will play those spells in the above order.
Stack = [CA ultimate, LB, LA, VH]
Or perhaps CA ultimate doesn't exist on the stack anymore, since it has started to resolve?

Now, if what you said applies, then even though her ultimate is at the bottom of the stack, which should normally resolve last, instead becomes the first to be resolved since it was in the midst of resolution.
Stack = [LB, LA, VH]

Then my opponent, who's feeling really cheeky, decides to play that Zendikar trap card that exiles any number of spells. This goes on top of the stack...
Stack = [LB, LA, VH, Trap]

The trap card resolves, and he exiles all my burn spells, curse him.
Stack = empty

Is this correct?

Yep, that's exactly right.

Removing an ability or spell from the stack is the very last step in the resolution of a spell or ability, so it is still on the stack when the red instants and sorceries are put on top of it.
