GUr Grow in the new extended?

All of the components seem to be there. New fetches work much better for the deck than the onslaught fetch lands.

Scute Mob (fits the mold for classic threats in grow, a possibility)

I don't think all of the components are there to abuse Quirion Dryad in a "Grow" strategy. What made the Grow decks of old powerhouses was primarily access to cheap/free card drawing, which i feel is lacking in extended right now. Without a card like Gush i dont think the deck has enough gas to be competitive with Dryad.

Goyf is Goyf. I dont think you need to try to build a Grow deck abuse Goyf.

I also can't Scute Mob in extended right now. It just doesn't do anything until you hit 5 land, which doesn't seem to mesh with Grow very well (or anything at the moment.)

I don't like being such a nay-sayer, but i just don't think the tools are there, and there are just better decks to play Goyf in.

Sadly, I can see Scute Mob being too slow in Extended =( But I don't think that negates the archetype as a whole. I have no real idea how to build a Gro deck in extended, but cards I would consider include: Ponder, Engineered Explosives, Firespout, Vendilion Clique, Umezawa's Jitte in addition to what you have.

scute mob is a control card... it's goyf 5-8 late game and worse early. it gets hit by EE and gets chaliced for 1 less

so... no... gro isn't good in ext right now...
