i was curious if loss of life and damage are considered the same.

| Damage and loss of life are different things, but damage does cause loss of life. So something like circle of protection wouldn't stop a card that says lose 1 life, etc. |

Damage is not a form of life loss. Damage causes loss of life. Damage and loss of life are two different things. |
