Why the penalty for entering with secutiry code is a game loss???
I mean, even if both players havenīt started playing, itīstill a gameloss and this canīt be. If you suspect your opponent is cheating with a wrong deck, you can still check it but then the GL for non-intention or for intentional cheating the DQ is okay.
But as it is now this fucking guideline have stolen me and my opponents some games and no one was actually cheating. It can happen really fast and you feel like an **** and your opponent too cuz he "sucks judgesīass" for nothing.
Please change the penalty for "Warning", if both players havenīt started playing.
Thank you. |

| It should be a warning for Sealed, but for constructed I agree with the Gameloss. |

There are a few perfectly good reasons for the penalty to be a game loss for incorrect security code:
1. The security code is in effect your decklist. If it's not correct, then your opponent doesn't know if your deck is correct. Since we have no way of viewing players decks during a tournament, we cannot check your deck against what you registered.
2. Adding a card in limited has much more potential for abuse than it does in constructed. You can all agree that adding an Overrun to your M10 sealed deck makes it much, much better.
3. This directly addresses Duodax: We used to have the incorrect security code penalty change based on who noticed the error, and when. What wound up happening was that we had 6 (yes, six) different possible scenarios, each requiring a different penalty. Part of making the Penalty Guidelines is making them easy for players to understand, and judges to both understand and apply. Having six different rulings for incorrect security code does not accomplish this.
In short, the rule will not change any time in the forseeable future. |
