The largest convention in North America doesn't have a Legacy event...

If anyone that reads this forum is attending Comicon SD 2009 Please contact the people running the MTG events there and request a Legacy Tournament!

The schedule is all sealed, sealed, sealed, standard, sealed, sealed, standard...
Can we call it begging for money??
I just want to play legacy. Since it's obviously all about $$, I wonder if we paid some kind of "legacy tax" to these events or to WotC, then maybe they would let us play too... |

...all about $$
It's not like they don't Print cards that I want to incorporate into decks that I have that Is one of the points of "collecting" to me.
They want to ingrain play habits in this new generation of players. Constructed is basically dying out. Drafts around here are about drafting getting the money cards and selling them.
They might as well be playing Texas hold 'em. I have a hard time finding constructed events in my area..Most people don't want to take the time to make a constructed deck. (rogue not net)
Drafts make money. It's easier format to jump into.
I'd bet you the pro formats will in time steer away from Legacy formats... Leaving it to the people who have been buying cards for Over Ten years to have events on their own. |

Foil Mutavault to first and second place wins SET of FOIL Saviors of Kamigawa Magic cards and Magic Booster packs based on number of players for top players |

After my 500th Island, my 50th copy of Llanowar Elves, and my 20th copy of Disenchant, I feel like I'm better off no longer buying the standard edition decks anymore.

They sure do. The type of habit where they end up with so many boxes full of duplicate cards that it scares off any potential girlfriends and their moms threaten to kick them out of the house. After this fire hazard finally burns their house down, they can start buying all over again. |

If said girl gets scared because she saw the box full of cards, she probably isn't that worth getting involved with in the first time.
Respect is key in a relationship.
Oh wait this is a Mtg forum, i digress... |
