with this list i came 2nd in a 320 man ptq .. mb i would add kitchen finks instead of one primal and jund charms or so but i was pretty happy with the list .. only lost to wb tokens in the finals and to mana screw in the swiss. won against faeries, wb tokens, elves, swans, rb aggro, boat brew, doran, gw tokens ... nearly every game 2-0

I've been playing Jund Ramp for a while as some of you know, the maindeck depends on your meta, but the meta in boston,Ma last week was a lot of 5 color aggro and the cascade deck. I dont like thresher at all md and you dont even really need him sb, because you beat faeries anyway(at least my list does). I also dont like civic wayfinder because it doesnt actually ramp at all. First off add Garruk makes the deck work, second add fertile ground and the fourth fallout. I would add collosus because hes really good against most of the decks going around right now, im also not a fan of mannequin, instead play 3 primal commands because u can tutor up what you need, gain life, or time walk against control. Oh and 4 banefire seems a little too much maybe 2-3, oh and you need terminate in sb because doran is a bad matchup. Those are my 2 cents take em or leave em.

Here's my take on Jund Ramp.

I prefer Mind Stone over Rampant Growth.

The instant speed of Cloudthresher may be very important in some matches. I am unsure of Violent Ultimatum in this deck, I don't think it does enough. I prefer manafix over Treetop Village, but may test the reverse. I haven't seen Karrthus so far in this version.

i have been playing a variation of jund ramp also and i'm guessing lot of them play the same cards.

Can i ask why you play Karrthus?

I never really understood why. Is he just another fatty to swoop in?

I understand playing Karrthus, but isn't Hellkite Overlord better? With all those Faeries/Spectral Procession/Swans decks around, isn't an 8/8 trampler for one more mana a more viable choice? Besides, Jund Ramp decks aren't that popular for him to take control of Broodmate Dragon/Chameleon Colossus... Confused

Your own Broodmates and Colossi get haste. That could be game-winning. When that is said, having played it a couple of times, I am still having trouble deciding between it and fetching another Broodmate with Primal Command. In games where the haste would matter, I guess Hellkite Overlord would be just as fine. Otherwise I would as easily pick a Broodmate Dragon.

I could test Hellkite Overlord instead of Karrthus in my build, but I think the third Broodmate, fourth Colossus or something else entirely could be better options in that slot.

BTW I am -1 Ultimatum, +1 Primal Command now, and feel much better.
