|
|
Aight guys, we all know that Wizards dropped bomb with all their new rule changes. Seeing how a lot of cards our favorite cards are about to get their balls chopped off, we have to make a deck that consists of all our favorite BROKEN cards before they lose their dignity.
Here's the rough sketch so far
CREATURES
x4 Mogg Fanatic
x4 Sakura-Tribe Elder
x4 Hunted Horror
x4 Morphling
x4 Tarmogoyf
SPELLS
x4 Brand
x4 Spectral Searchlight
x4 Braid of Fire
x4 Sensei's Divining Top
Feel free to add cards to the list |

| You can no longer float mana from your upkeep to your draw step in response to Rishidan Port! |

x4 Braid of Fire here to commit suicide ?
Braid of Fire become better after changes
and sakura-tribe elder didn't become much worse. it still can save you 3 life from wild nacatl and find you a land.
and then you last time played Hunted Horror - Brand combo?
Thieves' Auction - Brand combo still works fine. |

Sakura-Tribe Elder can still block then sac, it just can't deal its damage.
These changes kill the Ad Nauseum deck in Legacy, as players can no longer use LED during their upkeep to play Ad Nauseum during their draw step. |

Maybe some tricks with pumping him while dmg on stack.
Ravenous Baloth dies. Also whole Astral Slide deck Anyway they are gone after rotation, so that won't matter so much. |

| Didn't think about Baloth. I guess Mycoid Shepherd is an indication of how to make an ability like Baloth's work under the new rules. |

The whole "Damage on the stack?" thing was pretty pointless when you think about it. The only relevance to it was tricking inexperienced players.
Good Riddance. |

how was damage on the stack pointless .... my knight of the skyward eye is fighting ur naya hush blade so i stack damage then i activate the knight of skyward eye in order to save him before damage resolves here my oppo could go rsp resounding thunder him but his guy still dies so its not the best
New rules:
same guys fightning but now i must pump my knight before damage inorder to make him live through combat in this case your resounding thunder looks alot better in rsp to the pump because damage was not already assigned/stacked so ur guy is safe.
and then when u think of guys like dauntless escort who can no longer trade and do thier sac ability to the fullest.
P.S. I was just bring up how it isn't "pointless" and only for tricking inexperienced players. I actually either like or have no current opinion for all the changes i have seen. Initially i disliked the fact that combat damage would no longer use the stack and that blockers will be ordered but the more i thought of it i realized how it will just be different not neccesarly worse or better. |

| It wasn't too long ago that blocking was considered a limited ability that never happened in Constructed. It's about time blocking got a little more advantageous. |

Uh... it doens't kill the Ad Nauseam deck... the LED Nauseam is just one of the many tricks you could do. You can still Mystical Tutor for Nauseam, use top to put it 2nd from the top, then after drawing crack LED, tap top to draw Nauseam, and then play it. Brainstorming can work too. Also, LED functions well with other cards like Burning Wish, Infernal Tutor, and Ill-Gotten-Gains. It does hurt to lose a trick, but thats all it was... a trick, not the sole mechanism of the whole deck. |
