Hi, I'ma new player on Magic-League and I have a question:

How can I see what tournaments are running up and how can I sign up to play?

While tournaments are forming, you can see a link at the homepage. It reads "Click _here_ to join" -

As additional information, I suggest reading up the "How to Start" link in the left upper corner of this page.

And what about normal tournaments that are not in home page?

That would be Latest Tournaments, and upon joining a tournament on the homepage don't forget to upload your deck. You will also need Java installed, and you will need to be present in the Chat/Play room on magic league's server, you will play your games using the magic league server on MWS, instead of the mwsplay.net server your accustomed to. A little time and you'll get it all figured out. You will play all your games using Magic Workstation. If your not familiar with MWS you better get started if you plan on playing on Magic-League.
