here's a theme i made for MWS, hope you all enjoy it
it's only flaw as i currently know of is that the background image runs across the game log, making log and in-game chat hard to read. if anyone knows how to fix, let me know pls.
also note that the set icons use the following oddities (changes from slightlymagic masterbase):
-Conflux is CNF, not CFX. sorry, it's what i use... (if enough people want it, i'll post a version of the theme with this as CFX in stead)
-Jace vs Chandra duel decks is JVC not DD2
-Divine vs Demonic duel decks is DVD not DDC

5/25/09 - **NEW!! added 7 new themes!!! including cryptic command/remand, hourglass/M-L, hourglass/counterspell, BolasPlaneswalker/M-L, Luminous Angel/Akroma!, a beautiful InfaRed landscape/sky, and SLAVE OF BOLAS w/old Nicol Bolas avatar!!!

To install this theme, use the following method:
1. download the .mwTheme file into the "Themes" folder in your MWS
2. open MWS
3. press "F10" or click "Tools" then "Preferences" in the menu at the top
4. click "Interface" on the left, and in the drop-down box next to "Graphic Theme" select "Hourglass Teme"
5. click "OK" You're Done!
enjoy the theme! |

what do you use to make your themes?
Anyways, I want a background of Cryptic command and an avatar of the guy on Remand.
Can I also get that that time seive theme but with the 7th edition counterspell image as the avatar |

using tools > "MWS resource editor" in magic workstation, you can "decompile" a theme into it's components, and it sticks them all in a neat little folder. you then make changes by replacing the background images with your own personal picture, and the same with the avatar. then, when you're happy with everything inside, name the folder what you want your theme name to be, and go back to MWS resource editor and click "compile MWS resource" or something to that effect. then you have your theme! (it will put the theme in the same folder as the decompiled folder is in, i would use the Themes folder in MWS probably)

sure, id be happy to. what would be helpful is if you could point me to the exact images you want. i dont have really good photo editing software on my comp at the moment, and if you could provide links to a Hi-Res/large cryptic command, and a small pic of the remand guy, i'd be happy to make it for you.

sure, that seems like a better choice. i may start using that instead, thanks!
Also, for people who want themes, please include links to the images you want for background and avatar if possible. the background image needs to be very large and preferably high quality (images intended for desktop wallpapers usually work very well. the avatar image should be smaller and can be low quality, preferably cropped already if necessary, but if not i can try. |

These are all amazing. Could you do one (that looks right) of the green Pro tour play mat? With the red zone at the top, and all?
I can't find a picture of it, but anyone who follows the Pro Tour knows what I am talking about. |

i know exactly what you mean, i even have a picture of it. sadly, when i tried to make a theme of it, it looked pretty bad. the placement/scale of the board was all wrong, and the txtbox looked all messed up. 
if i figure out how to do it, or if anyone has some idea how |

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. When FirePenguin had his theme making guide up, I tried it, but couldn't get it to work.
Well, what about a Blistering Firecat backround, with Chartooth Couger Avatar? Always been my favorite cards. |
