Any ideas for a deck centered strongly around Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker? I was thinking of controlish with creature removal, land destruction, and maybe some various board control, etc etc.

Type four is not a format. Some players still call Standard Type 2 as this was the "old" DCI name for the format.

Nicol Bolas is pretty good as a one of in 5 color control along side of a single Cruel Ult.

Type 4 is a format, just like Elder Dragon Highlander and Emperor, it is just not sanctioned by DCI.

I think that this was more a reference to the way many people seem to call extended "type 4" when it actually has nothing to do with extended. But I could be wrong.
