| If you have looked at the spoiler, you will see that at least 85% of the cards are reprints of older cards. its very disappointing. thoughts? |

Str8, apparently there was a leak a while back of all the card names from the new set, info here: http://mtg-realm.blogspot.com/2008/09/conflux-spoiler-1.html
The reprinted cards are:
Mana Cylix
Maniacal Rage
Nicol Bolas(As a Planeswalker apparently)
Unsummon
Worldly Council
Cylix, Unsummon and Council will almost certainly see play. There are far better cards than Maniacal Rage, couldn't care less about it. Nicol Bolas the Planeswalker should be interesting, especially if he's made his original 3 colors, UBR. If his planeswalker ability is similar to his Legends ability then he'll see play in Cruel Control, barring some huge flaw or absurd mana cost.
To answer your question, no. I'm not disappointed. |

The only reason that percentage is so high, is due to reprints and functional reprints being spoiled first, for natural reasons.
Just because some of the cards we have seen so far have been reprints, does not mean that the remaining 124 will be. |

Wow. Obviously you have no understanding of statistics AND have put absolutely no thought into this.
1) Only 10 of the 21 Cards are actually functional reprints, which is a little less than 50%.
2) Given, this is a lot, but when you are only working with 1/7th of the set you are much more likely to end up more variation because of the small sample size.
3) This is especially true when the entirety of the card titles were already known before rumor season started so the cards that were exact reprints were already known and did not get a chance to get spoiled at (relative) random along with the rest of the set.
Next time your thinking about stating your ideas to the world, at least put a couple of seconds of thought into them. Thank You.
Edit: The 1/7th figure is just a quick approximation. |

| I don't mind the reprints they had chosen... it's a shame they refrained from printing Tribal Flames. |

ok, well here are the cars that have been reprinted so far, they have just changed some of the names.
Might of Alara- Gaea's might
Unsummon
Maniacal Rage
Worldly council
Goblin Outlander- Yavamaya Barbarian
Nactal Outlander- Llanowar Knight
Valeron Outlander- Galina's Knight
Vedalken Outlander- Vodalian Zombie
Zombie Outlander- Shivan Zombie
Mana Cylix
10 out of 21 in conflux alone. 5 in shards, so 13 already in this block with still one more set and more still of conflux. Everyone might think that this is something stupid im complaining about, but originality of sets is important. it keeps the game fresh which keeps people interested, and invites new players in.
This is how many cards were reprinted in the following blocks. you will find this interesting
Mirrodin Block- 8
Kamigawa- 8
Ravinica- 11
Time Spiral (Not including Time Shifted)- 0
Lorwyn- 8
Anyone else see a problem? |

i think u might have gone a miss a little bit, if they are going to reprint staples from core sets it encourages players to play not usher them away, they can say hey there are some cards i recognize maybe this block will be awesome(obv it won't sound like that but u catch my drift) |

| i dont see how not reprinting cards doesnt keep it fresh. they are reprinting cards that arent in t2 or ext which keeps those fresh so i have no idea why you think this is a problem. |
