Funny thing is, I think it was PV's last match in extended tonight I saw, and he beat Jamie. Rematch tomorrow i guess.

its actuly 5 fae, 1 blightning beatdown, 1 kithkin and 1 5 color control.

Tsuyoshi Ikeda played blightning beat down not fae, wizards made a typo.

Funny that the only faerie deck that made it past the first round is the one that played the mirror. Guess it's not that dominating.

Only one of the Fae players went 6-0 in standard. People forget that the top 8 decklists arent always the best standard decklists

Fearie is a very good deck imo. Its not just about how good the deck is and your skill with it, but the matchups and how lucky/unlucky you are in the match.

My friend has a deck designed to beat RDW (major deck at FNM there) and I watched him get creamed by RDW. He didn't draw what he needed when he needed it and the RDW guy burned him out. Statistically he had a 80-20 advantage against it, but statistics are just that, statistics.

Is it just me or does it seem like nicastri should have been able to win game 2 in the team finals? He finished the game with a sunken ruins, chrome mox, gifts ungiven and smother in his hand according to the coverage and the only other thing he used mana on was the upkeep cost for slaughter pact, then he died to a single 1/1 morphed birchlore rangers coming through under night of souls betrayal with him at 1 life. I'm guessing there was an error in the coverage, as that seems more likely than someone at this level missing that play...

I wouldn't be too sure on that. The guy playing 5c in the individual finals asked when mana emptied from the pool.

Someone asked if Thresher was 5/5, 6/6?

And then that guy who played PV...... asks if Dark Confidant is a wizard, then tries to counter a Tribal Flames with a Spellstutter Sprite with no other faeries....

They are human. Humans make errors.

Ya there did seem to be an awful lot of misplays in the top 8, I guess the pressure just gets to ya (I hope).
Also it is very likely that there was a mistake in the coverage. Randy Buehlar just seems like the biggest retard ever, god knows how that man ever won a pro tour
