Although QnT was definitely there, predictably, it only got up high with a few players who were skilled/fortunate enough to get strong draws most of the day. Most of the QnT players drew 2 or 3 times out of 8 rounds of swiss and thus, I just raced them. If you're running black or red, fulminators wreck them.

One player I know had Lark with fulminator and actually blew up 8 vivids/pools in a single game.

Against the others I don't know. I played Elfball in the first round of top 8 and it was a good (but fast) fun matchup. I lost it cause of a mull into a shit draw. I didn't want to go down to 5 regardless (he kept his hand immediately so it was a pretty much have to keep at that point.)

Anyway, QnT beats Kithkin most of the time if you know what you're doing. Kithkin beats rdw, rdw beats fae, fae beats QnT most of the time. It's a pretty healthy format generally.

I saw more fae than anything there. It was in more ridiculous numbers than any of the other mentioned decks.

QnT is a good matchup for Kithkin if the Kithkin player plays very well

maybe, but all three of my states losses were to QnT (i was playin kith) and it wasnt like i was playing poorly, it was the fact the no matter how much you played "balls to the wall" you couldnt luck out and have them not draw into a wrath/spout. I agree with the win sqaure brodie spoke of with one difference, RDW can beat QnT as well

When you are playing aggro against control, playing balls to the wall is sometimes a bad strategy, but what else can you do with 8 threats of mass removal?

i played kithkin at states and went like 5-1 vs QnT

a lot of my wins were due to me playing 4 maindeck mutavaults which most versions don't play so that might be it; i won most of my games due to vault or mirrorweave

I played Faeries at NC States.

My results:
1-2 Elves
2-0 Faeries
1-2 Faeries
2-1 RDW (Landscrew, then I got him to topdecking which he didnt get the card he needed)
1-2 Kithkin
2-0 Bant Aggo
2-1 QnT (Game one he was land screwed. Game 2 I was land screwed. Game three he was land screwed.)
2-0 Quillspike Combo.

These are not in order.

I definately was more comfortable with Kithkin since I played it all Block season (and last states suprisingly). But I felt Fae had better match ups with all my play testing.

But my buddy Jeff ended up losing his T8 Spot to the Elfball guy. He was playing U/W Merfolk Wizards. Which I think was the deck to bring. He 2-0ed everyone all day but Cecil's RW Aggro which was a 1-2.
