Thieving Sprite's ability happens after it comes into play right?
Does Prison Term attach a new one when a creature comes into play or does it just move it?

I don't exactly know what you mean. Thieving Sprite cannot attack or block with Prison Term on it. If you're asking if Prison Term, which stops activated abilities, somehow removes Thieving Sprite's triggered ability from the stack when you move it to the Sprite, I have to wonder what sort of Magic you've been playing.

I'm guessing you have two separate questions but are asking them in the same thread.

1) Yes. This means it counts itself at the very least.

2) Prison Term just moves, it doesn't create a copy of itself (that would be pretty ridiculous!) That means that often, the creature you move it off of will be able to attack, since it will have been in play for a while (and therefore won't have summoning sickness).

depending on whose turn it is, the triggers resolve in different orders. prison term doesn't need to be announced that you are moving it WHILE on the stack. once the ability resolves you decide to move it or not. i suppose your question is whether you can move term to it based on his pick. assuming the sprite came into paly on his turn the answer is no. apnap- nonacative player triggers resolve first so you have to move it then. he gets the information for his discard.
