no to be honest i just don't like the decklist because theoretically it loses against aggro. They just keep attacking their planeswalkers and they don't live more than 1 turn.

I'm curious then: What IS your criteria for saying something is a good deck, if winning all the states - something no deck has ever done in the history of Magic - isn't sufficient?

Not facing any aggro decks over approx. 9 rounds times 50 states (~450 matches) would be either lucky beyond all belief, or an indication that aggro itself was not viable in the format, which would still seem to support that a deck which wins all of the states is probably a good deck - at least in the format.

Sorry, but I just find it a bit closed-minded for someone to suggest that a deck would win ALL 50 STATES and they still wouldn't consider it "good"...

As a rule of thumb, I would suggest that if you think a deck isn't good, or has really bad matchups vs. common archetypes, but yet it goes on to win all 50 states, it's probably time to start questioning your original reaction...

Just a thought.

Planeswalker.dec is probably not a very good idea because you cannot really play a planeswalker unless you have control of the board.

A few of them provides their own defense, like Garruk and Elspeth and to some degree Ajani Vengeant. But as a rule they are sorceries that in the best case gives you an effect plus gains you some life before they go to the graveyard.

No matter how badly we want them to rock, the planeswalkers aren't really that good.

I've been using Knight-Captain of Eos to protect my planeswalkers in my version of the deck. With Elspeth make even more solders I have plenty of holy days to keep both planeswalkers and myself alive.

He doesn't have to be the first soldier to hit the field. Plus I run Holy day which costs 1...
