Ok, so usually I don't play control, I like more aggro-ish decks like RDW and such, but I'm bored with them. So for states, I'm going to try my hand with Cruel Control. I know it's one of the best decks in the format, but since I don't usually play control, I'm looking for advice on either card additions/cuts, as well as how to sideboard against the different top-tier decks I might come across at States (Faeries, the mirror, White Weenie, Elves, etc.). Anyway, here's the list I've been working on for about 2 weeks. It's tested pretty well, but sometimes I just feel I don't make the correct sideboarding choices.

Deck file for Magic Workstation (http://www.magicworkstation.com)

Lands
2 [SHM] Mystic Gate
4 [SHM] Reflecting Pool
2 [LRW] Vivid Grove
2 [EVE] Flooded Grove
2 [LRW] Vivid Marsh
2 [LRW] Vivid Meadow
4 [LRW] Vivid Creek
1 [EVE] Cascade Bluffs
2 [SHM] Sunken Ruins
3 [SOA] Island (1)
1 [SHM] Graven Cairns

Creatures
4 [SHM] Kitchen Finks
4 [LRW] Mulldrifter
3 [LRW] Cloudthresher
2 [LRW] Shriekmaw
1 [EVE] Nucklavee
1 [SHM] Oona, Queen of the Fae

Spells
2 [SOA] Cruel Ultimatum
2 [SHM] Firespout
4 [LRW] Cryptic Command
3 [SOA] Esper Charm
3 [SOA] Bant Charm
2 [LRW] Makeshift Mannequin
4 [10E] Wrath of God

Sideboard
SB: 1 [LRW] Cloudthresher
SB: 3 [SHM] Vexing Shusher
SB: 3 [MOR] Negate
SB: 3 [SHM] Memory Plunder
SB: 3 [10E] Condemn
SB: 2 [MOR] Mind Shatter

Please don't just post or send a link to anyone else's list, I don't straight net-deck, I pick a deck type I like and make my own list. All help would be appreciated.

This list looks solid, the Graven Cairs in the deck is very bad concerning cloudthresher and cryptic command. Other than that I think I wouldn't play 4 wraths I might play 2 and 2 spouts to squeeze in 2 remove soul / negate.

I agree with Mind shatter, it probably is better. However if your on the play life is so much easier when you counter turn 2 bitterblossom.

ok the list ive been testing was actually kind of taken it is the almost exact list that erwin spoiled but theres not jace in it..my meta is aggro so i built this and have been testing it here..so heres the list.

1 cascade bluffs
2 flooded grove
2 mystic gates
2 sunken ruins
4 reflecting pool
4 vivid creek
3 vivid grove
3 vivid meadow
2 vivid marsh
3 islan

4 kitchen finks
4 mulldrifter
1 knucklavee
2 cloudthresher
1 skriekmaw

3 bant charm
3 esper charm
4 cryptic command
1 makeshift manaquin
3 negate

SBD:
2 cloudthresher-fae/mirror-you need the extra threat in the mirror
1 skriekmaw-kithkin/mirror/elves-good blocker or evasion
1 negate- mirror/elves-to stop profane and other card advantage spells
1 firespout-fae/elves/kithkin
1 mindshatter-mirror/aggro-you want to w.o.g. then mind shatter and put aggro into top deck mode
3 vexing shusher-fae/mirror-its a beater against fae until the land oona
2 counterbore(still kinda iffy)reveillark/and some control
1 oona,Queen of the fae-mirror/some aggro-you need the extra threath in the mirror but dont board them if your susp. of them boarding sower.
3 condemn-contol/mirror/demigod-when you need that extra umph.

if you have any question ask away. and if your not sure what to take out ill post. just let me know.

i like how you copy/pasted the list from the cruise qualifier with missing cards to make the deck less than 60 and claim it as your own.

gypsy i think you need to quit with the theories b4 you get smacked with a trout lol

2 cruel ultim.(i forgot them)
and if i woulda copy pasted them they woulda been in the list
and were also testing raven's crime for the mirror

and i didnt copy paste the list...ive been testing with chapin and erwin...if you dont believe me go to face book and look up bryant short...and look under my friends.
i didnt say it was MY list that i alone created...it was our
list that the six of us have been testing.

K, thanks for posting your deck and taking away my topic....

Anyway, does anyone have advice for how to sideboard with this deck against the top-tier decks expected to be at States? For MY list, at the top of this thread....

I would put 3 remove soul in SB and take off memory plund.

Mistbind Clique, Realm Razer, Gaddock Teeg are cards that will make u cry...

U should think about pithing neddle against plainswalkers, Fulminator mage, Nantuko Husk... I don`t think u will need 4 cloudthresher if u put the removes.
