Lately I have been fooling around with truffleshuffle and came up with this deck randomly when I realized that not a lot of discard is being played in 1.5 right now.
Blessing-go
// Lands
4 [TE] Wasteland
7 [UG] Island
4 [ON] Polluted Delta
4 [R] Tropical Island
4 [A] Tundra
// Creatures
4 [FUT] Tarmogoyf
2 [TSP] Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir
1 [US] Morphling
// Spells
2 [ARE] Gaea's Blessing
4 [IN] Fact or Fiction
4 [AT] Swords to Plowshares
1 [EX] Forbid
4 [6E] Counterspell
4 [FNM] Brainstorm
4 [NE] Daze
4 [AL] Force of Will
3 [FD] Vedalken Shackles
Possible sideboard stuff
rule of law/arcane lab
EE
spellsnare
disrupt/force spike
tormod's crypt/phyrexian furnace
naturalize/disenchant/seals/grip
masticore
stifle
FoF was originally going to be a three slot and then I hiked it up a bit. Blessing obviously creates a bit of a recycling engine with FoF and also makes me unkillable by PURE painter decks. Swords are for lackeys and so on and so forth.
I haven't been seeing a lot of draw-go decks in 1.5 top; eights and that is likely because it sucks right now, but who knows.
I'll admit that I haven't tested this deck yet mostly because I don't have the time to.
I am still sort of curious if anyone has tried similar decks.
Right now 1.5 seems to be all about the painters, 'naughts and counterbalance decks, which is why truffle shuffle is working out well for me, but anyway...yeah. |

23 land is light. 4 fetches isn't enough to maximize Brainstorm. I'm not sure how often you'll want to see Wastelands with all the high costs and colored mana. I despise the white splash for Swords, and I cannot believe you're running 0 Spell Snare main.
Also, Morphling and Forbid are horrible. Why do you need a singleton Morphling? You're playing Gaea's Blessing.
What are the advantages of this deck over Landstill? Landstill has a much stronger draw engine (Fact or Fiction is just barely playable in Legacy. I do not think a deck that relies on it will ever succeed), better board control, and probably a better long game, too, with Decree of Justice as a hard-to-stop threat and Eternal Dragon/Crucible playing the Blessing role (and both are stronger cards than Blessing on their own merits).
I'm not trying to be mean. These are the kind of questions you have to answer if you want your deck to be taken seriously. |

Good necro. The deck got turfed. Your criticism was moot.
