For one thing, can you do it? My girlfriend just got a laptop, its a macbook, i don't know much about it except i think it runs on OS X.

I'd like to know if it can be done, how to do it, and any tips or something like that.

Thanks Mws Smile

Knowing how to run MWS in Ubuntu and Linux would be useful, too.

using the latest version of DarWine. you can run MWS and even play. However the things discussed in the MWS on Linux threads that were wrong with old versions of wine, are wrong on DarWine. Cards have no borders, display upside-down in MWSplay, etc.

DarWine is for Mac OS X (which was originally named Darwin, being an evolution from BSD).

I am planning on formatting my laptop and get Kubuntu installed into it. Don't know anything else, but any advice would be appreciated. The biggest issue that I have with installing any linux distribution is being able to properly use MWS, simple as that. Can you help me?

I DL-ed DarWine and then DL-ed MWS but the .exe file wouldn't open.

I got an error
"Unable to locate X11.app. Make sure X11 has been installed."

Hi.

I've just formatted my laptop and installed Ubuntu in it. First thing I did was installing Wine and try to install MWS. I got to run it, and built a deck, opened the web client, but ... when I tried to play a game, I couldn't see my cards, only some of their mana costs.

Help would be great!

Just wanted to say, there is a new version of Darwine available here: http://www.kronenberg.org/darwine/. This update helps MWS alot on the mac. Cards no longer appear upside down in mwsplay. The last problems I see are that Card titles are too small to read in hand and on the table (have to hover over them to see card to the right) and also that the P/T is similarly too small to read on the board.

In my opinion, it is playable now, just requires more attention to detail as you play.
