Why is remand "so great" ?
It's like delaying the uncounterable.
You counter X, they draw Z, next turn they play X or Z, and you have a bigger headache.. |

You don't understand how tempo is great? Or a potential psuedo-Time Walk?
Stop playing Magic. |

I hope that you are kidding. It's a tempo card. On turn 2 or 3 the aggro player drops Doran and you Remand him. Then the next turn you hit your land drop thanks to the extra card that you drew with Remand and you play Cryptic Command or the Doran that they are going to replay.
So why is that bad? They stay tapped out for two turns, you hit your land drops and the spell is still countered in the end. Yeah don't forget that you will see at least one more card then the other player in the above comment. |

| Its so good because it develops your game by drawing a card whilst setting your opponent back a turn making it both great in control startergies where you have the long term game and tempo based stratergies where the delay can be enough to win the game. It makes 2 land hands alot more keepable as well as 3 land hands better and can actually allow you to get away with running less land if run in conjunction with other cantrip cards. |

| It is so great because in the early game, it is almost always a "time walk", as it skips over your opponents turn and draws you a card. Please play with or against it, and you will see how good it is. |

I personally think everyone here missed the real question.
The real question is why is this guy a bad player and playing magic?
We have atleast half the answer right now.

Remand is like working a 4 day week, getting friday off.
It lets you do what you wanna do with your time rather than what someone else wants you to do.
Remand gives you time, if your deck needs time to win versus faster decks then you play remand. |

the orginal poster doesnt know what remand does.
he thought the opponent drew a card. which would make remand shitty
the caster of remand draws a card which means
they play spell y, you remand, drawing spell x and then they play spell y then you stop there spell with spell x or another card in yuor hand.
which is still doing the same thing as just countering it orginally, but isntead you get a land drop and no card disadvantage, which is great for tempo. |
