Constricted Constructed 1/16 Trial

by Shyft- on 2010-01-10 19:07 EDT
Constricted Constructed is a format popularized on Magic-League by six, where 4 copies of each mandatory card must be in your deck for each game (pre and post board) but the remainder of your deck may be constructed as you choose within the rules of the attached constructed format. The 1/16 Trial (9am PST, 5pm GMT) will be T2, with the 3 mandatory cards being Timesifter, Delay, and When Fluffy Bunnies Attack. Links for format and cards:

When Fluffy Bunnies Attack

Timesifter

Delay

In case there is any confusion, this means that the 3 listed cards are legal for this tournament, and 4 copies of each must be included in the maindeck of the deck.

Picking two cards of different colors is not a great idea as it forces everyone into the same colors, which is rather restrictive in standard. In the future, I'd suggest that you pick only one color or all artifacts or colorless-producing lands so decklists will differ significantly- once you account for lands plus the 12 required cards, we're looking at only 24-26 cards that set each deck apart.

The deck doesn't have to be able to cast the listed cards, it just needs to contain 4 copies of each. There are plenty of ways to make this happen. Think outside the box a bit, try to figure out what most people will do with the cards, and there's room to find some innovation =D.

Also JoshJ there are dozens of potentials for 3 color decks or splashes.
