by CMA-Flippi on 2008-09-29 21:19 CET
At this point in time we request that players download the MWS master base from slightlymagic.net This action should easily solve patching problems.

What about those that already have it patched correctly?

by tg on 2008-09-29 22:47 CET

http://www.slightlymagic.net./download/MasterBase.rar

That's the exactly link for it

by Vecc on 2008-09-30 01:10 CET

If you mean 'correctly' as in through the .txt patch, there were some issues with text size and planeswalkers on that one. This one fixes it.

by styx^ on 2008-09-30 16:55 CET

Flippi you've posted the link wrong. In this news the link is "slightlymagic.net." think you should change that ;)

by nico on 2008-09-30 21:12 CET

tuga: we want everybody to use the same patch, so everybody has the exact same cards, and there will no problems because of slight difference in the masterbases.

by Crossbow on 2008-10-01 03:15 CET

unzip it, and extract it to your workstation folder

by SaTiVa on 2008-10-02 00:58 CET

@ crossbows done but still errors with m-l sealed anyone have suggestions?

by Squirrelmob on 2008-10-06 02:57 CET

Is there any way to get it so that hybrid mana is something other than S, A, D, etc?

by Bensch on 2008-10-06 14:32 CET

are the mythic rares fixed? because there are already ml tournaments going on!

by The_Nexus on 2008-10-06 23:25 CET

Ok.......dl'd it.....it's not a zip file....wtf.....it's a rar file.....someone wanna explain what the hell you use to unzip a rar file? havn't figured that out yet and apparently it's a program I've not yet heard of or one that I don't mess with. Answer would be nice, so I can update.

by mickeboyy on 2008-10-07 21:56 CET

its a RAR File, with wich program should i open it?

by thefinn on 2008-10-07 23:45 CET

seriously people, WinRAR is the program that "unzips"/decompresses .rar files. It's almost as common as WinZip.

by slade_ on 2008-10-08 19:34 CET

lolrar

by me777 on 2008-10-10 18:01 CET

actually winrar is better than winzip as it handles rar AND zip (and ace and other stuff)
actually always used winrar since i first saw it, even got a license.

by me777 on 2008-10-10 18:07 CET

Squirrelmob: you need the right Theme. the one i use is http://www.slightlymagic.net/download/NewMagicTheme.rar
if it doesnt activate right (msw crashes) you need to change registry as shown here: http://www.magi-soft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5684

by twocool on 2008-10-15 22:18 CET

by Wiley on 2008-10-16 05:24 CET

by wickety6 on 2008-10-18 19:45 CET

okay, twocool, if you could tell me what you did to fix that would be great. I am having the same problem and can't figure it out.

by mickeboyy on 2008-10-20 21:51 CET

i try to extract the base to the mwsfolder with winrar and winzip but i got errors

by Bartok on 2008-10-21 18:34 CET

I don't know what was wrong with the old patch but this one generates almost 1 mythic per booster pack

by Bensch on 2009-01-30 21:40 CET

got the same problem with the mythic rares...get one in every booster =(

by Masterloard on 2010-04-10 19:47 CET

Yeah, I've noticed a problem w/ Slightly Magic's masterbase... IT DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING FROM BEFORE 8TH ED.!!! I like to ply vintage/legacy sometimes, but this database doesn't support it. WTF!
