Policy Change

by Gerrardfo on 2007-10-26 15:06 MDT
Recently, more and more users have been posting advertising notices in the main channel. These channel advertisements have become longer and longer, which does flood the main channel with huge messages every thirty minutes. For the purpose of cleaning up the spam in the main channel, our new policy for advertising is as follows:
-You may only advertise ONCE EVERY HOUR (3600 seconds)
-Advertisements may only contain one-hundred characters at most
-All advertisements over twenty characters must be approved before they are broadcasted. Contact site administrators to seek approval for advertisements.
-Each individual may only advertise ONE channel
-Only channel owners may advertise their channel

We do reserve the right to make changes to this policy at any time. Ops can kick/ban people at their own discretion if they feel that the advertisement is inappropriate or breaks time rules. This policy is in effect as of Saturday, October 27th, 2007.

It's about time the policy was changed. Some of these advertisements are just ridiculously long.

I love that last part. pG used to overuse that when he would k/b me for over advertising while he himself was doing it.

Also my only beef is the channel owners can only advertise thing.

I'm not allowed to have funny and creative advertisements apparantly :(

seems ok, but...

-All advertisements over twenty characters must be approved before they are broadcasted. Contact site administrators to seek approval for advertisements.

doesn't seem very "democratic" if you ask me...:/
