DCI Sanctioned Magic: The Gathering Formats
Magic-League supports all paper formats for Magic: The Gathering that the DCI sanctions. For Constructed and Eternal rated formats, decks must be at least 60 cards. Sideboards must contain either 0 or 15 cards. Decks have no maximum number of cards.

Note: Magic-League does not hold DCI sanctioned tournaments. Magic-League is an independent body and has no affiliation or working relationship with Wizards of the Coast or the DCI.
Standard is the most popular sanctioned Magic: The Gathering format. As it consists of the most recently printed Magic: The Gathering sets, it appeals to players both new and old because of the availability of cards.

There are currently no banned cards in Standard.
Extended's appeal comes from its greater card pool. Players can play their Standard decks a little longer in Extended before sets rotate out of the format.
