Not sure why the BUG deck is running 4x experiment one. It would make more sense to run 2 or 3 max because you never want more than 1 in your opening hand.

He probably just had some lucky games

luck is necessary to win in any game of chance

4 is the right number if you allways want one in your opener

I've been testing this deck alot and i can tell you that it's really consistent. You always want 1 drops in your opening hand. Exp. one + undying creature and well timed rapid hybridization is usually a game for you. You never mind a 2nd exp. one since they all evolve. Hands without 1 or 2 cmc creatures r usually a snap muligan.

I've also top8ed nationals with this list.

I played against Davor with this BUG deck, and it was pretty hard to deal with two experiments on the table! :) It is very easy to pump them with all the undying creatures.

Davor: why only one guildmage and not 4x dreg mauler?

by Davor on 2013-05-01 11:32 CET

I used to run 3 mages but they're just to slow. Most of the time they won't do anything. It's more of a lucky 1-off.

I really like dreg manglers but on the other hand I wanted to run atleast 2 wolfir avengers (they go really well with counterspells). Didn't know what else to cut and you don't want too many 3 and 4 drops in a deck like this.

I just came across this new card from DM-Far/away. Might consider running 1 or 2.

I really like that bug deck I've been playing against it a lot on modo with bant and although I have the edge, the games are always skill intensive and it feels like the more skilful player will win out most of the time. Defiantly want 4 experiment one its the best turn one play the deck has. Deck looks good but the secondary colours of mana look a little shacky, I think the deck could do with one less forst and an extra drown catacomb or watery grave.

Am I the only one noticing that PUTREFY in his list?
