no offense to the fun formats but wouldn't it be better to run a high number of standard and sealed trials when a new expansion comes out in a few days? (Modern for the Master isn't the best choice either imo, since RTR has almost no new cards for the format)
If you have a T2 Trial every day, it will probably bring new people to ML. If you have a Modern + a random format (legacy is a random format :P), then they couldn't care less.

I agree. Ok legacy is a skillfull format and should be included as well... but modern is a bit of dead now.. I agree to a sealed/t2 + legacy/modern/t2/sealed trial format + ok some fun events on the weekends

The upcoming pro tour is Modern, so it is absolutely relevant. Legacy is by no means an "other" format; thanks to SCG, it might even be the second most-played competitive format.

I'm in 'Murica, everyones in 'Murica, Yeah!

I was just making fun of Legacy, which is by no means really a competetive format by the way.

So what does it change that modern is the upcoming PT format? (i expected this reply when i wrote my first comment).
Thats not really a reason to play it for almost everyone.
Modern Trials are not that much bigger than, other format trials.

"So, theres a new, exciting set coming out. Lets do a trial of a random format!!!"

No Gatekeeper of Malakir in monoblack aggro seems wrong

by BIRDYYY on 2012-09-29 16:49 CET

lmao when you guys get good at magic, you will understand why there are multiple formats.
