there have been some horrible decks on magic-league before, but i think that the 1st, 2nd, and 4th place decks (especially the 4th lol) all being in the same top4 at once is amazing, and we should be proud to witness this historic feat.

congratulations, magic-league

@maps: I suppose when you don't have ideas and accomplishments of your own, the easiest thing is to criticize.

Actually the 1st and 3rd decks are quite good.

people that suck at building decks just automatically call any deck they havent seen in the top 8 of a grand prix or pro tour bad. If they havent seen a deck that somone else built do well in a big tournament they cant comprehend how it could be good. This is usually because they have no idea how to build for a meta and just copy the winningest net deck. Sometimes it pays to slip a couple of cards into an existing archetype to steal wins with a card an opponent isn't expecting at all because as soon as they see the first few cards of your deck they assume they know just about every card because so many people play nothing but netdecks copied card for card. as far as im concerned the deck that wins any tournament was the perfect pick for the meta they were going to face. In my local area modern tournaments are rare so when modern grand prix trials come up people tend to throw together easy to play aggro decks. That just happens to be my meta. There were back to back weekends with modern gp trials here a couple months ago and after the first weekend of seeing this I decided to run a non standard version of green red tron with 3 main deck wurmcoils and a couple other adjustments that arent commonly in gr tron that people like that would look at and say oh that deck sucks because its not a card for card copy of what they are used to seeing. I played against aggro all day and placed 2nd because of my choices based on the meta expected.

tldr...

Anyway, who would have thought, Unsummon is a Tier 1 card :/ cool list in 1st, 4th place deck is still hilarious

Vapor Snag is just amazing. I test it a long time and it's never a blank, very often steal games and at least controls the tempo of the game. It is common situation, EOT: Snag + Snapcaster + Snag = no blocker and + 4 dmg for the win.
Ninja is amazing too although I sideboard it sometimes. But often: Spellstutter into Ninja into Spellstutterto counter their Path/Bolt. It also gives an edge in the mirror (or Delver machup). Other stuff I thing is self explanatory.

The winning deck is really good imo.
Also, id like to say that the quality of a modern tournment is measured by the number of affinity deck in it. This trial, had too much, sadly.
