2nd deck clearly did not meet the criteria for B.Y.O.B, therefore is not posted.

Lol. Maybe in the future decklists need to be checked prior to the tournament starting.

by jfc on 2011-03-07 00:44 CET

thats not the point, the noob opps that played vs the 2nd place should have noticed that that guy played sunken ruins :/

by Lynolf on 2011-03-07 12:48 CET

I approve what rupus said. In real life, decks are checked for their legality in the format before the tournament starts. But the problem here is that it would take a lot of patience and a sharp eye for a judge to check all the decks.

Maybe in the future we can get some coding about setting which cards are legal for a given tournament, but for formats like this one, it should be much more complicated to accomplish, if not impossible.

decks are not checked for legality in the format in real life, they are checked to make sure the correct number of cards and sideboard is legal, if a deck has an illegal card in it then it should come up during round 1 when the other guy calls a judge.

Like in San Juan last year!

Guy A wins Die Roll and starts with Mountain into Goblin Guide. Guy B reveals Damnation. Guy A calls judge. Guy B gets dropped from tournament :D
