Seriously, TugaChampion, stop winning. Leave room for the rest of us! :'(

by manachuel on 2010-05-11 21:19 CET

Good Job Mr_DoomZ, it seems we were the only ones who didnt play control + jaces -.-

by magicalmatt on 2010-05-11 21:20 CET

i like staggershock over searing blaze. gz tuga

by Flaxh on 2010-05-11 21:20 CET

Nice job kid, looks like you found a deck that suits you.

by TugaChampion on 2010-05-11 21:38 CET

magicalmatt: Brad Nelson and Michel Jacob created this deck before RoE and Nelson even won the MOCS with it. Now that RoE is on mtgo I saw Jacob going 4-0 with a list very similar to this one. He's playing +1 searing blaze -1 comet storm but I don't see myself playing less than 4 comets as they are just insane.

The sb is different too because he's still using the plan "bring lotus cobra and they take out removal". It was a good plan in the first tournament but right now I don't really think it is the best plan. People already know about it and they also need to have removal for oracle as on average it provides the same card advantage as jace, although more unstable (sometimes it is better sometimes it does close to nothing). Mold Shambler is insane as it gives you have land destruction, as well as a way to kill planeswalkers (gideon is what scares me the most in UW) or even stuff like journey, luminarch and monument.

manachuel: most people like playing the best decks.

tugas: somos os patrões desta merda obv!

by Pegachris on 2010-05-11 22:41 CET

No one ever looks at the rest of the top 8 decks. :(

I 2-0ed 2 UW decks in the first two rounds. I am now convinced my deck dominates UW and not just in Block but T2 as well.

by TugaChampion on 2010-05-11 23:23 CET

2-0 hardly says anything about a match up...

by Pegachris on 2010-05-11 23:36 CET

How about it never lost to UW yet?

by TugaChampion on 2010-05-11 23:49 CET

I've never lost with 60islands.dec and I'm pretty sure no pro has ever lost with that in any format. So it must be the best deck ever!

by ShadowPT on 2010-05-11 23:54 CET

Pega (Lol) you lost against what deck?

by Pegachris on 2010-05-12 00:04 CET

I lost to Tuga. Cant remember but I think I mulled g3 and drew horrid. I'm currently tweaking the deck still into a different version and I'll bring it again to tomorrows trial. Not sure which version yet lol.

by kaoak on 2010-05-12 00:13 CET

the amount of sinergy in tuga's deck cant be compared to yours pega...

by TugaChampion on 2010-05-12 00:29 CET

oh! I didn't even remember I faced you. Well your deck sure is powerful if it reaches the lategame where is abuses those eldrazi monsters. But with people playing spreading seas to slow down your double mana lands as well as after sb ruinblasters and possibly mold shamblers it won't work. You won the first game because I had a lot of mana problems (kept 3 lands and explorer and took so long to draw the 4th land). G2 and G3 I just blew up your lands and gained card advantage with oracle/jace.

by Pegachris on 2010-05-12 00:45 CET

Spreading seas and Tech Edge are ok but Ruinblasters and Mold Shamblers were annoying. Luckily its easier to handle in T2 though. But yea you're correct, slowing my mana does effect me alot.

by Mr_DoomZ on 2010-05-12 01:02 CET

The 2 games me and tuga played wer VERY INSANELY CLOSE I lol'd kinda hard tho he had the deprive the deciding time in the game... I honestly didnt see it comming being that he is only playing 1-2

by Banda7 on 2010-05-12 01:31 CET

why does pegachris always come on here and talk about how great his deck his?

by Pegachris on 2010-05-12 01:43 CET

Because I can

one UGR? one vamp?

true. i just don't get it

by TugaChampion on 2010-05-12 12:14 CET

Yes, the games against Mr_DoomZ were as close as they could be. I got a gameloss for arriving late by 10 seconds. G2 was really close but G3 was just insane. One of the best games I've played in months! He went t2 bloodghast, t3 bloodghast, t4 kalastria and at this point I didn't think I could win. I had several decisions during the game including bounce a kalastria once and a bloodghast once with Jace. Eventually it came to a point where he had nighthawk and I had sphinx. If I bounce nighthawk I would survive if he didn't draw anything relevant, but it would destroy jace and would make that we were in topdeck mode but I needed to topdeck way better to win. So I brainstorm and get Avenger of Zendikar and Deprive and I'm even able to play the avenger and keep mana for deprive if I use the fetch and go to 1. I make 12 plants and pass. He plays kalastria and when I counter it, it's all over.

Banda: vampires aren't what they used to be so in 32 players and when players have access to all cards it's natural that there's only 1 or 2. However I still don't understand why aren't more people playing UGR. It's the best deck and it top4ed the last 2 block trials I think.

by Banda7 on 2010-05-12 19:38 CET

I guess.
And why does that red deck not have stagger shock? Seems so much better than tuk tuk

by metzel_usa on 2010-05-13 00:43 CET
