1st! ^_^
can't really get how my deck could win... it took 5 mins before trial to build it, i didnt even test it single time :D

by Pegachris on 2010-03-17 01:07 CET

:( yea once again I scrub out before top 2. I'm mad cause my build has a very good matchup against RG valakut. I played it twice right before the trial. And that allies deck got extremely lucky. I didn't draw a single hexmage or removal both games.(and I sided in hideous ends and smothers)

by Ffancrzy on 2010-03-17 04:06 CET

My deck literally was stomping every deck except that damn valakut deck, which my deck had neither a direct answer for, nor enough pressure to beat. I need to pack my spreading seas next time.

The only games i lost besides against valakut, was one game where I kept a 3 lander, and didnt see another land until like turn 8, and the other, I kept a 2 lander with a challace and 2 or 3 treasure hunt, and didn't see a land for an equal amount of turns. Oh well, better luck next time

Gratz isperia!

Sideboard for my list was awful, I was tinkering with green and forgot to take out relic crush and trap when I changed the main. However trap did lucksack me a game against uw. And I will say pegachris was very unlucky.

GJ isperia

Note to self moar ruinblaster in board.

UB control with no spreading seas?

Why? So I can get blown out by Mind Sludge still?
This is Zen Block not T2.

Every single one of these decks has at least one glaring flaw. Good to see that nothing is defined in this format yet other than vampires is overplayed and not that good.

That allies deck looks pretty bad. Dudes + 2 burst lightning? That's it? You basically scoop to UW control with the 0/4 defender and day of judgement.

I beat UW control RD 1 and 2, list is unrefined and needs a lot of work to be better

UWR with 5 green cards in sb is pro.

These lists are a bit random, no offense...

Why 4 Hellkite Charger and 0 Comet Storm in ramp?? Comet Storm is like the 2nd best card in that deck. You don't need so many creatures; multiple Oracles clump your draws and the deck often wins with just burn + lands.

The mana on the U/W/R allies deck just looks scary to me. I run allies in the dailies, I've tried W, U/W, W/R, W/G, and W/U/G (for Relic Crush because it is a beating), but the mana never worked out in the 3-color list. It seems the risk is not really worth the reward; all you're adding is Burst Lightning which is not very good in the deck..Journey is better..and 4 random guys. You give up Brave the Elements, which protects your important creatures and gives you midgame blowouts, and give even more targets for Sparkmage/Casualties.

U/B list I dunno, never seen that before. It looks fun, I might try it out. Can I ask why you think the R/G matchup is so great for you (the one with more burn and fewer creatures)? How does it play out?

Edit: Oh but I also wanted to add, that Chain Reaction combo is sick, and makes me want to try the W/R list again. All the more reason to drop blue and add Brave the Elements imo.
