by cram320 on 2010-01-28 01:07 CET

doesn't blood moon just beat that dark depths deck? If not what would

by proxie404 on 2010-01-28 01:08 CET

how the hell that deck is so bad omg lmao

by OldBear on 2010-01-28 01:32 CET

If I've ever seen a combo deck designed to beat other combo and control tuga's list is it.

by P1n on 2010-01-28 01:38 CET

does no one in ml just go to channelfireball?

by CyrusKiller on 2010-01-28 01:57 CET

GerryT decklist after update on channelfireball!
3rd Trial with scapeshift 3rd Top 3 it s definitly a good deck in the field except vs depth

by mishimakaz on 2010-01-28 02:22 CET

Welcome to the GerryT revolution.

GJ Tuga, though dimir signet seems a bit...out of place? lol

by gypsy on 2010-01-28 02:35 CET

blame gerry t for the signer also

by CyrusKiller on 2010-01-28 02:43 CET

it s a blood moon solution gerry T describe is in out in the article

by AMER on 2010-01-28 03:48 CET

now im curious as to what would have happened if i actually played r4 vs. Tuga

by Markwerf on 2010-01-28 04:18 CET

The dark depths/thopter deck is really good so difficult to beat the combination of the 2 combo's which mostly require different answers.
Only cards that solve both DD and thopter/foundry that i know off are bant charm and celestial purge but can still be grabbed by a shitload of discard offcourse.

by LucksaknNoob on 2010-01-28 05:04 CET

Damping Matrix seems like a good answer to both of the combo's.

Also is Kraken Hatchling actually a good sideboard card?

by Joby_Turk on 2010-01-28 05:48 CET

it slows down aggro decks, 4 toughness just out of reach of bolt, not that many people would.

I now feel less bad losing in quarters to the eventual winner

Congrats TugaChampion, damn your bluffing with spell snare

by center on 2010-01-28 07:52 CET

ew

You bit on a Spell Snare bluff?

by -Darigaaz on 2010-01-28 10:18 CET

Kraken hatchling....lol

by Lynolf on 2010-01-28 11:44 CET

GO GO GO TUGACHAMPION!!! =D

Bt the way, guess finally Faeries, after beeing one of the most played decks in the last days, managed it to the top. Congrats Emperok.

by TugaChampion on 2010-01-28 12:35 CET

It was more like making the hexmage look like a bait so if you had actually draw a red mana source in the meanwhile, I wouldn't flat out lose to hemorrhage. I even knew you had punishing fire in hand because I thoughtseized you so it being a bait made sense :P
I actually topdecked dark depths the next turn but I already had tolaria west in hand.

by Mengu09 on 2010-01-28 12:51 CET

oona queen of fae!!! GO!!!

by Eldariel on 2010-01-28 14:13 CET

I don't get why anyone would play Fae in this format.

by CyrusKiller on 2010-01-28 14:21 CET

Oona won me a game vs faerie actually

by JPirk87 on 2010-01-28 14:22 CET

For once the best player with the best list one.

by Emperok on 2010-01-28 14:55 CET

Fae is a very good deck in this format. Actually i lost to scapeshift but i don't no why. My first lose to shift. I didn't take seizes. And oona is really good. Much better than meloku.
Kraken makes game with zoo. It saves time for u, few turns and it is enough. Kraken can ve killed only by tribal flames, certanly it is ok for me.
Now in my list i want to change only threads. And it will be new jaces:))

by Shooter on 2010-01-28 19:42 CET

kraken hatchling was good when burn was heavily played.
Now it's just bad :(

Faeries is one of the only decks with 'good' depths matchup. That's why Eldariel :(

by Lantero on 2010-01-28 20:57 CET

GJ with that Oona Cyruskiller ;)

by darkwizard42 on 2010-01-29 00:43 CET

topdeck ftw then Tuga haha

I had red source in my hand, you saw that when you seized!

by Eldariel on 2010-01-29 00:54 CET

One good MU a deck does not make, Shootah. From the data I've read, it seems to be a dog in most match-ups, not being especially apt at dealing with Punishing Grove, Thopter or even Elves, or Domain Zoo.

I guess it's good against Scapeshift and Hypergenesis, but that just doesn't seem like enough to vindicate playing a list except in horribly skewed metagame.

I mean, aggro got faster with Landfall, and now Bitterblossom is suddenly not-too-slow compared to last season? Something does not add up there.

by TugaChampion on 2010-01-30 13:07 CET

darkwizard you actually didn't have a red source in hand or else I would have taken Cranial instead of Hemorrhage and you would have gotten a swamp with your suspended search for tomorrow.

Well the topdeck didn't matter because I would transmute for it anyway as I had to mana. It would have made a huge difference one turn earlier as I would just play depths and hexmage right away and you wouldn't be able to do anything about it so no bluffs would be needed lol.

Eldariel: landfall didn't change anything as the versions with lynx are worse than the other versions. Sure sometimes it will be a blowout and there's nothing you can do about it. However it's a very inconsistent card and if I was playing zoo I would go for consistency. And now with the white kird ape, if you want 12 1drops there's no reason not replace lynx with it. Also elves is still a very good match up for faeries.
