by MotC on 2010-01-26 01:23 CET

because steppe lynx is absolutely horrible long term

by Djinn on 2010-01-26 01:53 CET

Sure domain zoo has a good long term plan

by cram320 on 2010-01-26 02:12 CET

zoo needs more bob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!!!1!!

by Markwerf on 2010-01-26 02:29 CET

Dont like the first deck list at all, might of alara is a tool for a fast deck with no backup, steppe lynx is way better.
The thing i really dislike about it is the sideboard though:
meddling mage is horrible in zoo because people are gunning for creatures already, negate is much better. More narrow but more powerful hate like aven mindcensor is better though, mage is broad but always sucks.
Relic is bad graveyard hate here as its a nonbo with goyf and knight.
Burrenton-forge tender sucks, if you are going to bring in a pure anti red card go with COP:red.
Bant charm is very good but its not a board card the card is great for it's versatility, play it main or dont play it all.

by gypsy on 2010-01-26 02:43 CET

forge tender is better in zoo vs red it also protects from firespout from scapeshift and holds a jitte pretty well so think b4 u say stuff like playing cop red over forge tender in zoo, and almost all the zoo lists play meddling mage bc its good vs all the combo decks where mind censor is only decent vs scapeshift and isnt even that good

by Markwerf on 2010-01-26 03:10 CET

but do you really want to bring in forge tender vs scapeshift? It only helps when you have a mage/teeg to defend and even then doesnt help vs sudden shock and bounce. It's hardly better then the burn spell or creature you take out for it.
And as far as meddling mage goes against what is it better then negate? With negate you diversify your threats whereas with mage they only need to deal with creatures.

lol'd. dredge never left, I just wish these other decks would get off its nuts with their graveyard foreplay like thopter sword and gifts and tarmogoyf. just let me throw cards in there with no disadvantage plz.

by Djinn on 2010-01-26 04:25 CET

burrenton is good vs dredge as well :)

forge tender is very good vs scapeshift cause it protects teeg/mage and if u ahve teeg they cant bounce it. its probably better than knight or jitte vs scapeshift. and you dont rly care about sudden shock no one plays that anyway.

how does negate diversify your threats? it does the exact opposite since your taking out a creature which is a threat for a card that is only good when u have preassure on the board.

by gmoney on 2010-01-26 10:01 CET

UB fae have the numbers but not the results I was thinking about playing it at GP: Oakland how good is the deck really? (I have been playing on mwsplay can't catch a trial and crushing but that happens with most decks I practice with as much as I do with Fae.) Feedback appreciated.

by Ludz on 2010-01-26 10:58 CET

Gogo six!

by RiQuSP on 2010-01-26 11:10 CET

@ Markwerf: It's almost as good as Vedalken Shackles vs. Dark Depths ((

by Eldariel on 2010-01-26 13:02 CET

@RiQuS: In only 18 more turns, I shall dominate your Lage! I'm so evil it hurts! They don't call me florence for nothing!

by rafaruggi on 2010-01-26 14:55 CET

I don't see any point in not playing Flame Kin Zealot in dredge.

by RiQuSP on 2010-01-26 15:47 CET

@ Eldariel: I've never seen Scapeshift run 20 islands..
