gogogo Briarhorn!

by dAEdaL on 2010-01-21 03:25 CET

Real men play Briarhorn.

by P_P4E on 2010-01-21 03:27 CET

i shouldn't of 2-0 dropped =(

Briarhorn is interesting, but I'm pretty sure its value isn't worthy of a spot over tarmagoyf.

by mchosa on 2010-01-21 04:14 CET

fuck yes

by Djinn on 2010-01-21 04:18 CET

It's good, even tho he hardcasted it to give +3+3 to his Troll Ascetic that would trade for my 4/5 Tarmogoyf which got pumped by noble hierarch (rather than evoking it + regenerating). I don't know what's the fuss with it, it's played in all the GW haterators builds

by KoToRRo on 2010-01-21 04:33 CET

Solo pueden ganar con ayuda de los jueces jaja no puede ser!

by BarneyStinso on 2010-01-21 04:45 CET

yeap!! only with help of the judges =/

by mrwegle on 2010-01-21 05:07 CET

Did anyone here pleyed Briahorn? Just try him he is exelent.he ca give +3\+3 when u need swing last 3 damage, when angel block angel, +3\+3 to teeg is exelent instant blocker, when u need u can remove all bridges by evoke cost.
gj all

by CalebD on 2010-01-21 05:17 CET

How's Chalice working out? A few non-synergies, like Teeg, but seems like a good fit for the deck overall.

I've always liked Briarhorn. Seems sick with Angel, maybe Rhox War Monk. Takes out an attacking Goyf for value.

2nd deck is more a haterator.dec+doran than a straight doran.dec

by AkYo on 2010-01-21 05:46 CET

what is bitter ordeal good vs ? it doesnt seem like alot of perms go to the grave

by bugaga on 2010-01-21 06:03 CET

GJ mrwegle!

by Holzi on 2010-01-21 06:51 CET

Yeah mrwegle well done xD

by Eldariel on 2010-01-21 09:13 CET

AkYo: Ordeal for 2 to remove Scapeshift's Valakuts, most likely.

GJ, Djinn!

by Mammonth on 2010-01-21 09:16 CET

GJ mrwegle! keep going with Haterator, it is sooo good, you know ;)

by Shagrath on 2010-01-21 10:19 CET

Maybe Briarhorn deserves a place in Doran, but instead of Goyf? Thats just retarded!

by Spyx on 2010-01-21 10:42 CET

oblivion ring > maelstrom pulse when you don't run goyf??

by Lynolf on 2010-01-21 11:52 CET

People need to stop naming decks according to the person who "created" them. Have you no imagination? Give them something new like "Advanced Zoo". Many people in magic-league top4 with the most extraordinary decks, and I've never seen their author's name on the decks name, but when its someone famous doing it he gets that privilege?

Also, that's the weirdest Doran deck I've ever seen. GJ Mrwegle! XD

by LilDan on 2010-01-21 12:36 CET

It's easier to remember decks by the name of the pro that created them.

by Burrito on 2010-01-21 12:53 CET

hahaha first deck is "Charming Zoo" on DeckCheck!

by mrwegle on 2010-01-21 15:31 CET

"It's good, even tho he hardcasted it to give +3+3 to his Troll Ascetic that would trade for my 4/5 Tarmogoyf which got pumped by noble hierarch (rather than evoking it + regenerating). I don't know what's the fuss with it, it's played in all the GW haterators builds" as I said during a game I was to tired to play final and did many mistakes.
CalebD you are obviously correct about teeg and chalise yes this is non-synergies, but without teeg scapeshift and depths match are very bad (befroe board) and without chalise butn and other fast deck you can change worship and teeg place but I prefer teeg in main.
DARKING Thx for doing your job. But? as I asked before pls change deck's name to KELEVRA or at least to GWb haterator because doran absolutely another deck.
AkYo Bitter Ordeal vs scapeshift and tezeret also it can work vs hipergenesis but i'm not sure.
Shagrath In my deck only lands and cretures can go to grave fast goyf is small you play him turn as 1\2 and only after turn 4 he will grow to 3\4 also this deck has only two targets to spellsnare (teeg and jitte) and I really love when they sit with snare all the game without target.
Spyx 1st of all I really forgot about this card 2nd I will try it but I'm not sure that is is batter because 1)it is black(sometimes i can't have early black mana) 2) Most of games ring isn't for goyf he is 3\4 this isn't to big Usually i destoy angel, jitte or knight but if I destroy one of them with pulse goyf will be 4\5. But thx I will think about this card.
Lynolf this deck isn't doran I realy don't sure that I ever need him but black splash is so good and he is big.

by Emperok on 2010-01-21 15:44 CET

gj mrwegle. Nice deck!
But one question, shift is the most playable deck now (with fae obv). About fae everything is clear but with shift is it enough to have only teegs? And after board order?
What do u think about seizes sb? And fings sb insteed of Matrix?

by kreff on 2010-01-21 15:53 CET

mrwegle i cant see when briahorn is better than goyf, goyf can help u vs agresive decks and its good vs control. Spell snare is not played now, u cant see it in tier1 decks. PLAY GOYF NOW! XD.
I will not talk about chalize +gaddok wich is horrible (like me english ;). BYE!

by Emperok on 2010-01-21 17:01 CET

Spell snare is not played now? Are u kidding? xD
So open deckcheck)))
In this deck goyf only 2/3. And we want to see doran or troll more than goyf.

by MotC on 2010-01-21 18:12 CET

nice very very diverse metagame

by kreff on 2010-01-21 18:26 CET

now i did, thanks ! ._.
scapeshift=0 snare
zoo = 0 snare
dark depths = 0 snare
all in red= obv 0!
death cloud rock=0..
just in bant and in thopter combo u will find snares, and both arent popular now. If u dont play goyf cause of snares but u are playing gaddok and jittes prolly somthing is wrong with that.
Anyways grats djinn (who plays 0 snares too XDD)!

by CyrusKiller on 2010-01-21 18:27 CET

Back to back god draw got me on G3 against Djinn.
Gj both mrwegle and djinn

by mrwegle on 2010-01-21 18:48 CET

Emperok :"But one question, shift is the most playable deck now (with fae obv). About fae everything is clear but with shift is it enough to have only teegs? And after board order?

My test tell me that after board 3 Zealous Persecution 4 Bitter Ordeal is enoph +3 teeg don't forgot that bitter is game and with Zealous you can just destroy all blockers with one card and race them. Matrix is nuts maybe not in this meta, but this card is so great (vs thopter and DD). Maybe I will try to play MD finks+oran rief (1-2)MD and DoD in sb instead worship.
kreff as i said before goyf is to small in this deck (maybe if I will start play pulse i will start play gouf but now he is 1\2 turn from turn 2 to turn 4 and I CAN"T CHANGE this (only briahorn) or champblock (but obv i don't want kill my creture only for +1\+1 to goyf).
