by Hank333 on 2009-11-08 23:48 EDT

I think this GR elf deck is for real. Top tier...

by Jacois on 2009-11-09 00:23 EDT

Pretty diverse format if you ask me.

Congrats Simone!

by skathe on 2009-11-09 00:56 EDT

quoth Jacois:

Yeah... G/Gr Elves, Jund, and random junk = "diverse"

by Super_Prep on 2009-11-09 02:51 EDT

That GR elf deck is for real, it practically explodes onto Jund decks.

by gmoney on 2009-11-09 03:46 EDT

Mono Green Control featuring: Master of the Wild Hunt

by Spyx on 2009-11-09 04:07 EDT

some deck diversity at least :)

by LordLink on 2009-11-09 05:06 EDT

I'm hard pressed to call "green midrange" diversity.

I suppose we have a variety of decks, a variety of archetypes would be nice though.

I wonder if Architects of Will counts as a blue presence in the top-8.

by PenguinSlave on 2009-11-09 05:45 EDT

who said there was no variety in the meta,i think its decent

by Lynolf on 2009-11-09 06:03 EDT

Very nice top8. I already expected some Jund decks on it, but the presence of new decks and the victory of Gr Elves really pleases me.

That's the advantage of playing "rogue" decks: people, not knowing their strategy and which cards the deck possesses, don't know how to play against them, and often the deck comes victorious. ^_^

About the card choices: I still think 3 Elvish Visionary is very random, I would take out 1 Llanowar Elves or 1 Druid of the Anima for the 4th. And wouldn't Kalonian Behemoth or Rampaging Baloths be better than Terra Stomper? How good was Sigil of Distinction for you, Wichtelman?

by ckfnpku on 2009-11-09 06:13 EDT

Glad to see someone took my crypt deck to top 8 (and an inferior version of the deck at that!).

by Mengu09 on 2009-11-09 06:19 EDT

great simone!!!!!!!!!

and great deck??? untile u was wake up yesterday XD??

by Wichtelman on 2009-11-09 06:41 EDT

Looks like green is the new blue, 6 out of 8 decks use the force of nature.

by meoni on 2009-11-09 08:31 EDT

LOL for elves

by rafaruggi on 2009-11-09 09:48 EDT

Kalonian Behemoth seems good Lynolf, but I think Terra Stomper is better because trample is really important vs all the Sprouting Thrinax tokens. Even though it gets removed easily. And it hits the board 1 turn earlier.

I like the t8, good job Simone!

by Simone[ITA] on 2009-11-09 11:41 EDT

thanks xD! my comment: i made this deck to beat jund!!

by GaryOak on 2009-11-09 11:53 EDT

Nice Top8, lots of intresting decks

T2 is shaping out nicely after all!

Well... at the SCG5k there were 5 Nissa Monument Decks in the Top8 :)

Isn't that the exact list from the previous trial?

Either way I really like the deck, it's been play testing pretty well..

by liltiz on 2009-11-09 12:59 EDT

The Nissa monument decks from the SCG5k were the real deal.

I was there and I played 5color cascade...my 2 losses came to the winner and 8th place finisher, both played the nissa deck. The matchup isnt horrible. I went 3 games in both matches, hard to beat 3 nissa's and a few garruks follow by monument. I did play against jund and it was very ez win for my list

How do you destroy indestructible flying tokens? It reminds me somehow of the flying fortresses many decades ago...

by Zeph on 2009-11-09 15:46 EDT

I still refuse to play Jund. Since zendikar came I don't play that deck. I like to win but I still have some sense of aesthethics when it comes to MtG

I'm suprised not to see a cascade desire t8.
