by doublegg on 2009-09-12 20:27 EDT

Minamo in the merfolk deck doesnt make any sense...

by LordLink on 2009-09-12 22:43 EDT

Of course it does. It helps protect you from Boil and Choke. Oboro does the same thing (if he had it).

Hmmmm...I have never played around with survival rock builds that run birds because I generally prefer STEs, but I have played around with Squee and Horror and while Squee is good at setting up the engine, he becomes basically useless after three uses or so. I don't generally anticipate on survival staying down for more than two turns, so I have found that horror gives an awesome blend of random versatility and horrors also allow you to dig faster(eot--->discard phase ad nauseum), the only thing with horror is that M10 rules hurt him and he also requires practice/skill to use to his maximum potential. It is surprising how many attrition games against permission-based decks have been won because of his recursion and sac ability.

edit:I always preferred wickerbough elder to sliver too because the elder beats, can be played pro-actively, beats for four if need be, dodges CB easily in many matches, doesn't require other cards to be used, dodges three point deeds AND is useable at instant speed. A slightly higher initial investment, but ends up costing the same as sliver should you want to explode two targets generally.

I'd rather be safe vs wasteland/pop than vs boil/choke tbh

by CMA-Flippi on 2009-09-13 07:57 EDT

Minamo kills Horobis.

the iberians win again!

by Shagrath on 2009-09-13 15:10 EDT

Iberia.... is that a country? lol

by Signatus on 2009-09-13 15:41 EDT

it's a peninsula. are the ones from europe not europeans?

by Dr_Moo on 2009-09-13 16:29 EDT

Minamo doesn't pay for Daze. If you're going to put White into your Merfolk list, why wouldn't you run Sygg over some of the 11 3 drops. That list is way too dependent on Aether Vial.

by ChristPunchr on 2009-09-14 11:28 EDT

Signatus: little shit countries don't count.
MOAR LIEK PENISULA!!11!! Bahahahahahahaha

by fortuna on 2009-09-14 21:26 EDT

i prefer a country with sun than a one with ice
