GFSS: Congrats on your win! How well is Windborn Muse working from the SB?

by TheGODehT on 2009-06-29 22:13 EST

Only 21 pieces of land in the 3rd place deck? 0.o

Edit: Just saw the borderposts.... why those instead of land?

by Diablo49 on 2009-06-29 22:17 EST

by Beto_cL on 2009-06-29 22:32 EST

never have problems with the lands. Why? dont know, but the deck work so good. Dont like so much meadowgrain... finks and stillmoon are god.
The list is of pablowinner, i take the deck and play xD, dont have time to modificate. Maybe wall of reverence in main... meddling in sb... i dont know.
Anyways, good. :D

Beto_cl the meadowgrains are suposed to be knight of the white orchid and thats the reason why the deck runs bordepost.

@GFSS: i have been running 2 windborns in my sideboard, do you think you had an advantage with 4?

by GFSS on 2009-06-30 06:53 EST

Windborn Muse is very good in tokens/kithkins match up

4 is better because u want more than one during the match

by Almi on 2009-06-30 09:10 EST

And against kith/tokens isnt good enough Wrath of God?

by Lynolf on 2009-06-30 09:18 EST

Of course, how genious! Why prevent the opponent's creatures from attacking? Clearing the entire board is way more fun! Oh wait, my opponent has a Bitterblossom. And now he just played another Spectral Procession! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

by Vodka_7up on 2009-06-30 09:50 EST

Don't forget you blow up your own creatures as well when you Wog, and last I checked that's how Finest Hour tries to win.

by Zeroo on 2009-06-30 11:01 EST

Portugal once again on top !

Goodjob GFSS !

Congratz!

by Almi on 2009-06-30 11:27 EST

I know WoG kill ur own creatures, but it's stupid if u play WoG when u have the game advantage. WoG is use when ur overruned by a lot of kithkins/tokens, and u could recoup by Finest + Treetop, or keeping another creature in hand.

by TugaChampion on 2009-06-30 11:42 EST

Almi any decent tokens player will save some threats in hand if they don't really need them to get board advantage. Also tokens replaces their army faster than bant with cloudgoat, procession and bitterblossom. Also persist plus ajani makes wog look miserable. And killing some of your own mana producers isn't good either.

by Almi on 2009-06-30 11:46 EST

Thanks Tuga, answer very reasonable. I'll try Windborn Muse.

by Trotsky1 on 2009-06-30 12:56 EST

Whats with all these decks with borderposts and so few basics.

by TugaChampion on 2009-06-30 19:28 EST

pg: bant is actually good. And certainly much less as a joke than the last GP.

by kurse12345 on 2009-06-30 19:51 EST

Just curios, are there any GOOD red decks in Standard right now?
