I'm guessing Nevermaker was key in the finals.

Nevermind. It doesn't bounce lands.

by Madstrike on 2009-06-21 17:03 EST

lol

by Lynolf on 2009-06-21 17:04 EST

What I don't understand is: Why only 3 Reveillark?

Anyway, Galepowder Mage and Nevermaker seem like good techs to me. Good job.

by Lat[GRC] on 2009-06-21 17:05 EST

Couse its not a Lark deck.. It's GALEPOWDER MAGE DECK !!! :P

Ty mate ;) And yes Nevermaker can do some nusty and unexpected shit out there...

by -DK- on 2009-06-21 17:12 EST

8 blink effects is to many i think

by LexW on 2009-06-21 17:30 EST

Faeries would wreck all these decks :P

by TugaChampion on 2009-06-21 17:57 EST

obv faeries would beat these 3 larks. Lark no matter what techs it has like this one always fears faeries. 5c same it always has a bad match up against faeries and the cascade deck would need a nuts to beat faeries most of the time. And still a resolved blossom could still win the game.

by mtgsoldier on 2009-06-21 20:29 EST

some pros say that a hand with a bitterblossom and at least 2 lands is an auto-keep, and tugachampion says its true...

but i dunno...

by LexW on 2009-06-21 20:34 EST

Unless the lands don't add black ;)

by DOminarian on 2009-06-21 22:05 EST

i won a faeries match and a reveillark match
and finals i didnt have any type of good draw i kept a 2 land and was color screwed for 3 turns
but is a nice deck the reveillark.... congrats to lat

by Ninja87 on 2009-06-21 23:53 EST

wouldn't the lark deck be better off if he put in Knight of the White Orchid and added the borderpost? That way you have some chance of mana acceleration which is much needed to use Mistmeadow Witch..

by Vodka_7up on 2009-06-22 02:43 EST

i love suggested adds with no cuts backing them up

by Lat[GRC] on 2009-06-22 02:49 EST

I tried this but didnt really work...3rd round is finks or drifter than white orchid. Midograin on the other hand comes at r2 gives some life its good for holding me some more rounds till i control vs aggro and its kinda aggro vs control

by Ninja87 on 2009-06-22 02:50 EST

well, you take the other knight out.. and take out vivid and pools for 3-4 borders..

by Neio on 2009-06-22 03:21 EST

CGGGG LAT:D..you GOT it after months of testing:D Good Job MATE!!

by TugaChampion on 2009-06-22 07:19 EST

It's obvious that if you add KOTWO you take out the similar knight of meadowgrain. I think Orchid is better with borderposts because that way you can play it turn 2 and get a land on the draw.

by TheWatery on 2009-06-22 11:39 EST

I don't like KOTWO in any UW Lark list, it's a dead draw late game, and does little early game. Easily replaced by Mind Stone. But nice list Lar.

by TugaChampion on 2009-06-22 13:20 EST

The Watery: it does almost the same as meadowgrain. Sure Meadowgrain gains like but most of the time it just stops 2 or 3 x/2 from attacking and KOTWO does it the same way. And it's pretty much dead late game as well.

The borderpost+KOTWO, although a bit dangerous against pulse early on, it's much better against anathemancer because it's dealing 1 or 2 early game and probably not more than 5 in the lategame.

Anyway in the list Arcane Sanctum is allways better than vivid. Also Pool is not necessary as it just makes your deck worse against anathemancer.

by TheWatery on 2009-06-23 17:14 EST

Read the articles on UW Lark that are floating around, KOTWO is cited as "terrible" in the deck. It's a dead drop after turn 3-4, better things to run.
