That's why it looks so ridiculous, because you don't play block. 4 Thornling is questionably 1 or two too many, but other than that, it's a pretty good list.

purge is more useful in matches against esper
cuz u get to remove the post and u get to target thopter foundry...
celestial acts like an instant speed vindicate in that matter.. i should have at least 1cc cards in my list.. but overall im pretty happy with the deck

i could also try to change jund charm to naya charm... it has more verstility in block since u can get a cascade card back and tap those anoying wall of denials or kill the ehersworn canonist

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. Its ridiculous how the only deck without Bloodbraid Elf managed to win this trial. That's what I call gg.

Dominarian: You obviously haven't tested the power of Naya Charm yet. It is THAT good. People barely play it because Naya decks aren't THAT good. And Captured Sunlight isn't doing anything there. You could add up some Broodmate Dragons instead.

I guess you're saying it was the only deck without Elf...in the top 3? There were 3 decks in the top 8 that didn't run Bloodbraid Elf, and I'm sure probably alot more. Rhox Meditant is a very janky choice, especially when you could run a great creature like Dauntless Escort instead. And I agree that if you run Ranger of Eos you should probably run at least 2 one-drops.

I think its fair to say the GW aggro deck was a metagame deck made by the japanese, explaining the presence of cards like rhox mendiant as a response to bloodbraid elf. What they said was if people are playing 3 colour decks we want to be playing 2, 2 colour decks we want to be playing mono just for the number of extra game wins you get for having less mana problems.

Well said Trotsky1, I remember when I experimented with Rhox Mediant, and other cards from Conflux when the stuff first came out. But, I never did think that the one card draw would matter that much in something like a Alara Block Trial.

Saito said himself that he wanted a creature with 4 toughness to block Elf and Sprouting Thrinax, it helps that it draws a card and people are reluctant to waste removal on it.
But ya it still seems pretty lame, there's gotta be something better.
Etherlords opinion on this would be appreciated

Maybe take out 2 Vithian Renegades for 2 Karthuus of Jund. That's 15pts for 7 mana, not bad. And if you're lucky it's another 15 next turn. :S

Rhox Meditat is good. Just throwing it out there. You guys who argue against him, once again, must not play enough block. He blocks Nacatl, He blocks Thrinax, he blocks Bloodbraid, Dauntless Escort, Ranger of Eos, it makes them pump leech, giving you two life out of purge, and, maybe most importantly, it shuts down probears, because Goblin Outlander is the least played of them all.
