Nice, a deck thriving in a Zoo-heavy metagame. I also like the anti-TEPS there of the sideboard.

by ZW on 2009-04-29 18:20 EST

Lol...shows how much zoo is here. Needs more faeries. Or Elves. Or TEPs using gigadrowse/pact/echoing truth...

I hate life I have never seen a deck which is so auto pilot vs every deck in the format but it plays banefire which i love so confused:P

by tg on 2009-04-29 19:03 EST

i lost g3 due to life/time rule -.-... he had 15 and i had 14... my table with a bounch of creatures all of them indestructibles because of elspeth... just needed 2 or 3 turns more but he stalled after elspeth made everything indestructible =/

Do Like!

"just needed 2 or 3 turns more but he stalled after elspeth made everything indestructible =/"

If an opponent stalls, go to judges.

great metagame call

"If an opponent stalls, go to judges." ... judges rules as they want... i did and didnt receive extensions.

gg deck title

I see putting creatures into play is still worse than putting them to hand. Maybe people will be brave enough to try Bloodbraid Elf before the pro's do.

Then again, congrats on using the Pridemage.

lol, anyhow, zoo is life best match, whats the posibbility of losing for elspeth?? 1 to 10, you have banefire, o-ring and needle to deal with

by the way, you sb vortex after seeing that he had halo?? jaja

by TugaChampion on 2009-04-30 06:04 EST

I like how idiot life (probably should be called moron life) has 2 Kitchen Finks in the sb, just in case it needs more zoo hate.

by Comodope on 2009-04-30 06:22 EST

To clear up the issue with tg: First I lost game 1 because he overextended and had a Jitte, I just needed to draw an O-Ring (for jitte), a Decree or Proclamation some earlier or finding a Wrath at ANY time would`ve been GG.

Then the great third game where I had "no chance" and "stalled" (where the judges could proof I didn`t, I`m no fan of the life rule I always try to avoid it) he had 1 out of 2 Elspeth of course, which is the only card that does ANYTHING against me and also 2 gaddock Teegs to stop my wraths. So I had 5(+2) outs(needle, O-Ring(banefire)) to handle Elspeth but I wasnt able to find one of them in 16 turns. After he used the ultimate I still had infinite turns (like 20 or more) to find one out of 6 cloudpost/vesuva to make a lethal banefire.

OK so to the deck: I played it because m-l people are copy-pasters and last GP was won by Naya and last Trial by Doran, which are really good matchups. Also the Deck tends to win vs any Faerie/NLU versions and has a decent TEPS matchup (maybe increase the board hate to 4 light 4 rule). It has some problems against Loam or Tron but nobody plays those decks here ^^ I also didnt prepare for the Elf Combo matchup, but thats easy to do.

Bye, Como

I think you didnt understand the deck TugaChampion ^^ The Kitchen Finks are not for any special matchup, but you have to board out a bunch of cards against a lot of decks: against naya I trade Wayfarer for finks, against burn Wrath for finks, against TEPS you want to board out Wrath, PtE and O-Ring, so Finks get a spot and so on. I really liked the Finks SB and would add some more.

Ok, your faerie matchup cannot be good, and your elf matchup is an auto-loss. Your TEPS matchup is pretty bad as well. Oh well. Guess this is what happens when everyone plays zoo.
