Huh.

Get godo into play, put fang into play, keep clearing the board and putting dragon tokens down. Later, just cast dragons that timewalk your opponent, or wrath the board themselves when they die.

Yeah, I can see where it would be hard for zoo to beat that.

by miseiler on 2008-11-25 03:50 CET

genju of the fields is savage.

by Bigshow on 2008-11-25 03:58 CET

I was looking at the Godo list. Under no circumstance can aggro with.

by bladerisen on 2008-11-25 04:23 CET

LOL WTF ...

by ZW on 2008-11-25 04:33 CET

How does the Godo list beat any combo or control deck? I guess it could beat elves a few times with pyroclasm.

by Lumbalgic on 2008-11-25 05:13 CET

NICE GODOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

by Stucco on 2008-11-25 05:45 CET

I tried so hard to forget that Kamigawa existed... sigh...

by Ryk on 2008-11-25 05:49 CET

Godo ... nice ...

by DaveK on 2008-11-25 05:59 CET

Matchups plx trivial?

by ik on 2008-11-25 06:11 CET

Trivial=My hero

by Solomon360 on 2008-11-25 06:25 CET

Holy Shite! Now I've seen everything!!! ::shoots self in head:: j/k! Actually my friend Red would love the deck because of Genju of the Fields alone.

by Trivial on 2008-11-25 06:26 CET

2x Faeries (Gerry T type build)
2X Zoo
1X Mono Red
1X Doran
1X Bye

by warwizard87 on 2008-11-25 06:43 CET

nice gj unique deck, anything you would change to make match ups better?

would lighting helix been good in there? How abpout decree of justice?

by mrwegle on 2008-11-25 06:46 CET

i can't understood how he beat burn or faeries

by Spyx on 2008-11-25 06:53 CET

genju of the fields with multiple activations ftw I suppose.
nice deck

by warwizard87 on 2008-11-25 07:00 CET

genju of the fileds wins vs burn.

vs fairys i am gonna gusse he demon fired them to death?

by Ownj00 on 2008-11-25 07:11 CET

decree of justice clearly is an upgrade on ryusei at the very least, that deck is definitely not optimal. congrats on the win with a homebrew regardless.

by tg on 2008-11-25 07:13 CET

such a fucking disaster this fucking people doesnt work at ALL...

by Trivial on 2008-11-25 07:25 CET

I have tested both Decree and Helix in these decks in the past. Helix tends not to be good enough because one does not have RW early enough. Decree is too slow--you often need to sink the 6-drop ASAP.

Fae cannot counter anything important (at least many of the ext. versions).

Burn/Zoo loses to the lifegain (multiple Genju activations or Miren soft lock with Tatsumasa).

by Dark_Apophis on 2008-11-25 08:38 CET

i played trivial round 4. I wish I played vs zoo or something. Burn Deck wins can't deal with Genju of the fields swing for 2 and gaining 12 life. 12 life... That deck was savage and i'm glad to see it win.

genju + 12 colorless mana > you.

by TugaChampion on 2008-11-25 10:18 CET

OMG. The worst extended ever just got worse!

by Eternal^ on 2008-11-25 11:03 CET

I can't stop laughting!!

Great job !

by Ronnan on 2008-11-25 12:35 CET

by deviant on 2008-11-25 13:44 CET

I lost to that winning deck with my "suicide fae".

It was fucking brutal. I have all the snags, leaks, snares, smothers, explosives, threads and all that useless crap and he just drops cmc6 godos and dragon thingies.

I LOL'd the whole match, what a beating. I'm so happy he won the trial, he really deserved it :)

by Verdana on 2008-11-25 14:56 CET

you lost because you suck deviant.

by tg on 2008-11-25 15:01 CET

its just anonying how bad is m-l...

by Dr_Nico on 2008-11-25 15:05 CET

How can you lose playing UB fae, you got mistbind clique, bitterblosom, spellstutter and jitte. And it just gets sick with a riptide lab in play.
You can only lose on multiple mulligans, stupidly bad luck or you just fail D:

by beanbungo on 2008-11-25 15:14 CET

better grab ur godos!!!! they're skyrocketing on modo!!!! ;-) nice job dude, gotta love the rogue winning over some tier 1 decks...just maybe not tier 1 players....

by Lunari_ on 2008-11-25 15:32 CET

Dark_Apophis: That's why you play Sulfuric Vortex in Burn.dec =/

ok you can post the real winning list now :P

by ZW on 2008-11-24 20:33 MST "How does the Godo list beat any combo or control deck?"

You don't beat combo at all. Control is better than you. However, every deck I played was an Aggro variant.

shenannigans!

by Vecc on 2008-11-25 18:24 CET

That Godo list puts Pro Players hawt.

by JeZeus on 2008-11-25 18:25 CET

That Godo deck makes my heart sing. . lolz awesome. Kamigawa block 4tw. So where is Demigod stompy :P

by Jacois on 2008-11-25 19:21 CET

Awesome deck Trivial. I admit I REALLY didn't get it at first, and, well, I still don't to be quite honest. When at first I thought it was Genju of the Spire I was REALLY confused. LOL

Yeah, it really doesn't look like you could beat anything, but I guess that shows you can't judge a deck by its list (or book by its cover).

Great job and congrats!

P.S. You suck Chaosweaver. ;) Ninja's would have beat godo.

by Verdana on 2008-11-25 19:52 CET

or whore by her price. point being?

by silver_spawn on 2008-11-25 23:30 CET

Great job, Trivial! Kamigawa rules!

by dickburns88 on 2008-11-26 00:05 CET

i wish everyone would shut the fuck up when people are being original, and then everyone cries when people are not original.

by Shagrath on 2008-11-26 01:09 CET

this is why single elim tourneys rule. godo deck won this trial and could lose the 1st rounds of several minis after, piloted by the same person.
