Yea sligh has a poor base. I wouldve included atleast 2 more 1 drops because they're crucial to hitting your curve and for getting cohort to work.

Actually Cohort is a great card in the deck. Stigma lasher would be horrible. There is almost no life gain in the format, its a grizzy bear, which apparently is better than a grizzly bear with haste.

And the deck needs 2 more lands and no black sources. They only hurt the deck.

black sources blufff thoughtseize and good players need to play around thoughtseize openers and also beckon apparaition or puppeteer clique or profane command.
just like wanderwine hub easily fits in monoU merfolk... these lands do NOTHING to hurt the deck. there's no reason to not bluff cards.
plus he helped his deck for next week. if he wins with thsi and everyone starts thinking "o theres not actually any black" then he NOW gets to PLAY black and win with it. SURPRISE.

ZW. Problem with Cohort is that it is often a 1/1. My red deck has more creatures than his, and the same amount of 1 drops and there are plenty of times where I only have 1 creature in play, and if it were a Cohort, it would be a nearly worthless 1/1. Haste is not very useful, especially on a 1/1. Have you heard of Knight of Meadowgrain? There are 4 of them in one of the most popular decks in the format and it gives you life. Anyways, wither is the more valuable ability and just the fact that Lasher doesn't need another creature in play to be a 2/2.

The non-basics are there for a reason, and that reason is unwilling recruit. The seven black sources let him use activated abilities of oona and whatever else is worth stealing (havn't looked much at block but I'm assuming there's something else.) With the lands he choose he doesn't hurt his tempo in any way, seeing as how he plays 20 goblins, and there is no combination of three lands that won't get you RRR on turn 3 (unless you have three auntie's hovels or something stupid I suppose).

There is no card you want to bluff, and even if there was, it'd be bad to play them without the cards - just play the cards, then, if the mana allows for it. The likehood is that you'll just get Fulminator Maged 100 more times than you'll steal oona (and want to use her ability) pertournament (specially considering there is ONE unwilling recruit, IN THE SIDEBOARD, AND you don't board it against faeries)

Sorry but he deserves to be made fun of for copying the list without realizing those are useless :P

I'm sorry but I agree with PV... the ONLY reason black would be used is with recruit stealing something with abilities that need black, like oona, or a cavalier, or something, but there is only 1 in the sideboard, none in the main... it should be cut from the side for something much better and just play with basics
