Maerugo1 on 2008-07-10 15:32 MDT First top 8! I feel good. Lost to Chidorie. Nice top4 even thought about playing Doran. As the looks of it i should of. Congrats all! by Perry on 2008-07-10 16:15 MDT I normally have a policy against criticizing decks, but this is ridiculous.
by ChiDoRiE on 2008-07-10 16:25 MDT looks a lot more like r/g ramp than aggro to me by Lynolf on 2008-07-10 16:25 MDT Wow! The first deck looks awesome. Its nice to see some change in block finally! And yes, that Gr Mana Ramp deck is weird, but since it won, it can't be that bad I suppose. by NonEsDignus on 2008-07-10 16:41 MDT Dramatic Entrance?
by Bishop[FR] on 2008-07-10 16:49 MDT WOW!!!
by TugaChampion on 2008-07-10 17:12 MDT LOLOL
by gypsy on 2008-07-10 17:20 MDT how is that rg aggro. why do people still play mind shatter in sb of faeries it is really bad in the deck by ChiDoRiE on 2008-07-10 18:19 MDT I have it because a lot of the time, against 5-color decks, I will fight over a spell on their turn (clique or one of their spells, generally), and they will be tapped out on my turn but I won' have anything to abuse that with. Mind Shatter is the closest thing I could find. by badasssmurf on 2008-07-10 18:51 MDT i found the deck this morning on deckcheck and it looked fun so i played it. i got down a turn 3 primus in 3 of my 9 games so i guess it worked pretty well. the deck is actually called optimus prime if anyone is looking for the deck list elsewhere. by Nemcon on 2008-07-10 20:40 MDT I love how everyone comments about the first place deck, when really it is the same list PV top 8'd the master with. With some changes in the board I think. by gmoney on 2008-07-10 21:23 MDT Scarblade LEET by aldaryn on 2008-07-10 21:50 MDT Yeah, the rg deck actually won a ptq, but I still think it looks like trash. However, PV's deck (the 1st place deck) looks really solid. Witchtel took out 2 redcaps for 2 more o. rings by Ro on 2008-07-11 01:36 MDT It is card disadvantage, but playing Woodfall Primus at instant speed on turn 3 is pretty awesome.
by trueeevil on 2008-07-11 03:36 MDT r/g aggro.
by Eldariel on 2008-07-11 04:20 MDT It's obviously RG Control. by Wichtelman on 2008-07-11 06:22 MDT its PV's list main 1 card changed cuz i dont like
by TugaChampion on 2008-07-11 08:33 MDT gypsy: mind shatter is good against 5c commands. You tap them out with your Mistbind Clique or even in a war at their eot and then you mind shatter for 3 or more. Still I wouldn't play more than 2. by MitchMachine on 2008-07-11 10:12 MDT PV broke the format (: by Shatta on 2008-07-11 12:02 MDT Witchelman, go die in a whole for playing OVersoul of Dusk. I thank all GW players in Top4 for not playing Shield of the Oversoul by Trotsky1 on 2008-07-11 13:11 MDT Yes he should go die in a hole for playing a card because shatta think's it is bad, who needs intelligent debate over if a card is good or not when you can just insult the other person to make your point. I mean dont you find that people who are so smart that they make there point by insulting threatening, belittling someone else are almost always right with there opinion because there logic is flawless. by BigShow on 2008-07-11 14:13 MDT by Shatta on 2008-07-11 14:02 EDT
by gypsy on 2008-07-11 14:52 MDT mind shatter is a lot worse than puppeteer clique vs 5c decks i would never play mind shatter by TugaChampion on 2008-07-11 14:57 MDT both are good and different. I play both. Mind Shatter for 3 or more can be devastating. by Streakz on 2008-07-11 18:09 MDT PV didn't break the format; there's no way the Doran deck has a +50% matchup against Kithkin, people just stopping playing Kithkin (I assume) so much so that deck was able to make an appearance. Maybe I'm wrong and I'm sure I will be informed so if I am but I would guess that is the case. by Nemcon on 2008-07-11 19:47 MDT The Doran deck, from my testing, has fared pretty well against all forms of aggro, it pretty much can drop fast fatties, has sweepers in firespout and thresher, and then races with the fat. |
