Didn't see THAT coming. Unleashing tech on ML?

by Lynolf on 2008-06-28 17:35 EST

Kithkin coming out, Faeries coming in...

by kokokolo on 2008-06-28 17:57 EST

did he really splash blue just for mulldrifters?

I didnt think they were that good.

by TugaChampion on 2008-06-28 17:59 EST

Someone won a PTQ with Gbu elves blue being only mulldrifters too.

by Y2Sky on 2008-06-28 18:01 EST

My teammates have been running the GBu deck for a couple of weeks now. One of them made T8 in Philly, still waiting for Roanoke, VA results, but it's been solid in testing.

I know nath was good before shadowmoor but it seems kinda slow and underpowered now. What match ups is it so good in that its maindeck material?

by center on 2008-06-28 19:42 EST

Well if it sticks no one kills it ever, b/c

1. Its Black
2. Its over a x/3
3. Its an elf

Only downside is Sowers, the guy is fantastic.

by nasa on 2008-06-28 20:17 EST

Thats the exact list of Michael Pinnegar, my friend up here in columbus ohio he won the ptq with

by TugaChampion on 2008-06-28 20:25 EST

nath is amazing before morningtide which brought colossus.

by Eldar on 2008-06-28 21:06 EST

Nath may be getting slightly worse soon though with more and more of the elemental decks playing crib swap main deck.

by trueeevil on 2008-06-28 21:23 EST

scarblade+nameless or chameleon

by aldaryn on 2008-06-29 00:36 EST

That deck seems to have a high curve, which makes me question 4 masked admirers, despite all the card advantage. And this might be being too themey, but Murderous Redcap seems like it belongs..

by onecleanceli on 2008-06-29 01:29 EST

I too would like to see redcap in there but definitely love the deck

by CHRONICBL on 2008-06-29 03:04 EST

i may be ignant but how does elves beat kithkin?

by Kai_ on 2008-06-29 05:25 EST

Kitchen finks to chump block, gain some time

The scarblade to do 2x1 with nameless inversion

Shriekmaw and profane to help,

And colosssus to kill. Plus Incremental Blight in SB. Thats the way to beat Kkins

by Jayzus on 2008-06-29 05:50 EST

jesus...shadowmoor is legal, right? (/sarcasm). Aside from lands, there's a total of 4 Shadowmoor cards in the maindecks of all three decks combined.

That seems a bit...skewed.

by flynnT on 2008-06-29 09:02 EST

i really like that elves deck. some decisions MAY seem strange, but after playing it a bit, the lists feels very well tuned. <3 admirers.

by Trotsky1 on 2008-06-29 09:02 EST

Nath also dies to flamejavelin oblivion ring, profane command, he is far from unkillable as well as other stuff mentioned and a 4/4 body for 5 is not exactly exciting. Its not as through the deck is short of things to do on turn 5 so why not just pay 1 more mana and play 2 cloudthresher and improve your faeries matchup a bit.

No one can seriously be playing nath because he is a 4/4 for 5 mana i mean this block is quite powerfull thats just absurd. So I would guess the ability has got to be the reason its being played which would have you think its to attack the control decks in the format but is it really gonna resolve vs them?

by FR34K on 2008-06-29 09:28 EST

by ChuckNorris on 2008-06-29 12:23 EST

lol the gbu blew my friend out in the finals of a ptq in ohio. its a good deck, but its tech from like 3 weeks ago. retards.

by TugaChampion on 2008-06-29 14:01 EST

nath dies to your mum.
